Zurich Classic Matchup Picks
April 24, 2024LIV Golf Adelaide Odds and Picks
April 25, 2024We only ended up having action in one game of last Wednesday’s parlay picks recommendations and came out of it a winner after the matchup between the Angels and Rays proved to be an early pitcher’s duel and exercise in offensive futility. Had Griffin Canning held up his end of the bargain in the strikeout department, we would’ve swept the board after Ryan Pepiot just surpassed his K prop with seven strikeouts. Here’s to adding to the bottom line over at Caesars Sportsbook with another installment of parlay picks for Thursday’s baseball betting action – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
We cashed in on the opening game of this series Monday night when Jared Jones electrified the PNC Park crowd and helped lead the Buccos to the 4-2 win by tossing six innings of 1 ER ball with 7 K. His third inning strikeout of Bryce Turang went viral after he had the lefty corkscrewing himself into the dirt on a wicked slider. I expect another arm to impress in the finale of this series Thursday afternoon, but he won’t be throwing for the home team. Freddy Peralta looks to be coming into his own in his seventh season in the Bigs. He’s led the Brew Crew to wins in all four made starts to date and stands just one out away from each of those starts being of quality. Most impressive is that his two wins have been registered away from Miller Park.
I expect him to be dead set on shining once again in this spot knowing he failed to earn a decision in all three made starts against the Pirates a season ago regardless of holding Pittsburgh to a 0.90 WHIP and paltry .150 batting average. Through 47.0 career innings thrown in the Steel City, Peralta owns a 3.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and .095 BAA. That’s dominance right there! Sitting only in back of Zack Wheeler on the current odds to win the NL Cy Young at Caesars (+450), I’m all-in on the righty outdueling Mitch Keller in this finale leading Milwaukee to another win and logging another quality start in the process.

Boston Red Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians
Of Boston’s five starting arms, the right one of Brayan Bello is the one I trust the most. Though his 4.24 ERA of a season ago doesn’t reflect a high end starter, he was nothing short of electric throughout the second half of last season and looks to have carried the execution of his three-pitch mix over into the 2024 baseball betting season. Through four starts, the righty stands 3-1 with a 3.04 ERA, 4.06 FIP, and 3.71 K/BB while only conceding 7.1 hits per nine innings. He showed out for us last time out earning his third dub of the year by tossing six innings of shutout ball at the Pirates while logging 7 K with the change getting whiffs, slider accruing strikes, and sinker getting outs.
While everything is seemingly coming up roses for the Guardians with it owners of the best record in the league, its offense has been less lethal versus right-handed pitching (#11) than left-handed (#2) with it averaging 2.2 runs per game fewer. While Triston McKenzie just spun his best effort of the season, it came against the weak-hitting A’s. The kid still doesn’t look to be near 100 percent, and I believe him to still be pitching injured. Should the Red Sox even the series Wednesday night, I expect them to go all-out to secure the series win in the finale behind who I consider to be the team’s staff ace.

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers
The M’s have battled all the way back from a horrendous start to their 2024 campaign to sit perched atop the AL West standings after shutting the defending World Series champion Rangers out in the series opener on Monday night. Truth be told, I think they’ll have an excellent opportunity to create even more distance over the next two days and be in a position to sweep this series Thursday afternoon with a red-hot Luis Castillo toeing the bump to make his sixth start of the season. The right-hander always starts slow, but he’s currently locked in at the moment having allowed nine hits and only 2 ER with an 18:2 K/BB ratio over his last two starts spanning 13 total innings of work.
This will be a redemption spot of sorts after Marcus Semien and co. raked him to the tune of a .300 batting average that amounted to a 4.91 ERA and 1.64 WHIP through three starts of a season ago. The same can be said of the Mariners offense who only managed 15 hits and 1 HR against Andrew Heaney in the 17.1 innings he threw at them over three starts and five appearances last season. For one reason or another, things just haven’t been clicking for the defending champs early on so we’ll look to take advantage.
