May 1, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, May 2
May 1, 2024Last Friday’s MLB parlay picks proved to be my best showing of what proved to be an extremely tough week. The night started off with the Braves winning and covering the run-line paired with Logan Allen getting charged with 4 ER allowing us to cash the over of that prop. Though the Rangers pulled out the 2-1 win over Cincinnati, it failed to go over its team total mostly due to Graham Ashcraft who exceeded my expectations by going over his total outs recorded prop. We did however close the night out in style after the Phillies peppered Joe Musgrove as expected and easily went over their team total in the process. Let’s head into the weekend by adding units to the bankroll over at Caesars Sportsbook – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB Same Game Parlay:
MLB bettors are in for an exciting matchup in the City of Brotherly Love on Friday night as the resurgent Jordan Hicks prepares to face off against the formidable Aaron Nola in what could be the best pitcher’s duel of the evening. The Giants have been reaping the rewards of incorporating Hicks into their starting rotation, as the right-hander enters his seventh start boasting a 2-0 record and a stellar 1.59 ERA, supported by a 3.10 FIP and an impressive 27:10 K/BB ratio. Hicks has been particularly effective with his sinker/splitter combination, as evidenced by his recent outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates who he notched a season-high 9 strikeouts and induced 10 groundball outs against. According to Baseball Savant, Philadelphia’s lineup has struggled against both of Hicks’ primary pitch types.
It won’t be smooth sailing for the Giants offense either, as they face the red-hot Nola, who enters his seventh start on a tear. Since a rough season debut where he surrendered 6 earned runs and 2 home runs, Nola has been dominant, pitching 35.0 innings of 20-hit (5 HR) and 8 earned run ball, while compiling an impressive 33:10 K/BB ratio. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts and has pitched seven or more innings in three consecutive outings. Nola’s effective placement of his 4-seamer has set his curveball up to thrive, boasting a 16.0% swinging strike percentage. The Giants have struggled against the curve, adding to the anticipation of a tightly contested game. Despite early competition, I anticipate Philadelphia ultimately emerging victorious behind their ace who is currently in peak form.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Washington Nationals MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Nationals are currently surpassing expectations, with the team just one game below .500, resulting in MLB bettors earning a tidy profit of $732 against the closing MLB odds. Conversely, the Blue Jays have been a significant letdown thus far in the baseball season, also sitting one game below .500 at 15-16, resulting in a loss of $242 for bettors. Toronto began the season with a projected season win total of 87.5 games and was expected to be a contender for AL East supremacy. On the other hand, Washington had the second-lowest win total in the National League at 66.5, trailing only the Rockies.
However, it’s inevitable that the Nationals will face some regression, while the Blue Jays are likely to see a positive turn in their fortunes. This weekend’s series in D.C. could be pivotal, and I anticipate Toronto starting strong by taking advantage of a favorable matchup against Patrick Corbin, who has struggled with a 6.82 ERA and has allowed 13.4 hits per nine innings. Meanwhile, Yusei Kikuchi has been impressive in his six starts, giving up 31 hits (2 HR) and 11 earned runs with a career-high 4.5 K/BB ratio while consistently pitching 6.0 innings in each of his last four outings. Toronto has a 3-1 record against left-handed pitchers so far, and I predict they will add to that tally by hanging a crooked number on the board in the series opener.
