MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Tuesday, May 7
May 6, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, May 8
May 7, 2024Due to the pitching change in the Rockies/Marlins matchup, we only had one game with action for last Thursday’s parlay picks and came a Cubs win away from cashing it in. Though Chicago held 4-0 and 5-2 leads, the bullpen allowed the Mets to tie it up before walking the game off in extras. By that point, we cashed the over of Chicago’s team total and the prop on Adrian Houser who came an out away from exceeding his total recorded outs target. The Cubs better get their bullpen rectified or else it’s going to be a frustrating summer for their fans and backers on the MLB odds! Here’s to boosting profits at Caesars Sportsbook with another set of parlay picks for Thursday’s limited slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers Same Game Parlay:
A beaut of a pitching matchup is scheduled for the series concluder between the Mariners and Twins with Logan Gilbert set to make his eighth start against Pablo Lopez who will also toe the rubber for the eighth time this season. Each hurler enters this tilt in fine form with Gilbert locking up a win in three of his last four starts and Lopez moving to 3-2 overall with wins tallied in his last two outings. The Mariners right-hander will look to build off a sensational showing in Houston where he held the Astros to a pair hits over eight shutout innings to move to 3-0 on the year with a 1.69 ERA while conceding just 4.7 hits per nine innings. Lopez snapped a string of four straight starts in which he conceded a home run by tossing six innings of 1 ER ball at the Red Sox to go along with 8 K. That makes it back-to-back starts of eight strikeouts for the right-hander!
Both pitchers have been at their absolute best under the parameters of this matchup. Gilbert stands 2-0 with a 1.61 ERA and .149 BAA through four road starts. Even more, he’s allowed just nine hits (2 HR) and 3 ER with a dominant 17:2 K/BB ratio in day games. As for Lopez, he’s been a bit better at home (4.02 ERA) than on the road (4.50), but been at his absolute best under the sun where his ERA drops to 3.03 with the opposition only batting .196 against his pitching arsenal. He’s also tallied a ridiculous 32:3 K/BB ratio in day games! Needless to say, I expect both offenses to be up against it throughout with both starting pitchers likely going deep into the game. Once they depart, they’ll be backed by two of the better bullpens leading me to believe runs will be extremely tough to come by throughout.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox Same Game Parlay:
Though the White Sox sport the league’s worst scoring offense that’s tallied 2.9 runs per game to date, the unit has shown signs of life in recent weeks. Over the last week of games, the Palehose have averaged 3.8 runs per game and tallied at least five in four of their six played games. Though it was shutout by Sonny Gray in the series opener in St. Louis last Friday night, Eloy Jimenez helped power the team to two straight wins with the offense combining for 17 hits and 11 total runs. As rough a start to the year it’s been for the offense, it’s certainly going through a bit of positive regression and I foresee it being extended in the opener of this four-game series with the Guardians.
Regardless of whether it’s Erick Fedde or Brad Keller that actually gets the start for Chicago, it’s Ben Lively that I’m targeting for this MLB same game parlay. The right-hander enters his fifth start of the baseball betting season 1-1 with a stellar 2.08 ERA and 10.0 K/9 all the while serving up a miniscule 6.6 hits per nine innings. That being said, his stuff is far from overpowering evidenced by his 112th ranked swinging strike percentage (11.1%), and he’s still serving up 2.5 BB/9. At some point, the levee is going to break so why not here against a divisional opponent that possesses a number of sticks that’s seen his stuff in the past? Even if he makes me eat these words, Cleveland should be good for a handful of runs if not more against either dumpster fire Chicago throws its way.
