NBA Picks – Warriors at Suns Christmas Evening
December 24, 2021Hot and Cold Teams for NHL Betting
December 24, 2021As the NCAA reacts to the variant, this is a good time to study who is hot and not for Las Vegas Betting Odds College Basketball. Some surprise teams are atop the profits board in college hoops, and some relative name brands are drowning in red ink. As usual, teams that the masses ignore tend to bring the most value. To illuminate, lesser-known teams to squares are printing money as we head into the new year. With that in mind, let’s prepare for a hot and heavy college basketball season that will feature conference games in full force come January.
Who is Hot for Scores and Odds NCAAB?
Who is making the most money for Free College Basketball Odds? Break out the Monmouth New Jersey Hawks. In their first 12 games, the Hawks won ten games straight up. Most important of all, Monmouth got the cash in all 12 games. For those not familiar, Monmouth plays in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. And as long as we are looking at that league, Iona is 8-3 vs. the line. So too is Fairfield 9-2 against the odds.
Also worth noting is that the Towson Tigers are 10-2 vs. the odds. Towson plays in the Colonial Athletic Association, where James Madison is 7-2 vs. the line, and Hofstra has covered seven out of ten games.
The LSU Tigers have covered nine of their first 11 games among the Power Five conferences. That is far and away the best profit margin in the Southeastern Conference. The Bayou Bengals won their first 11 games straight up and boasted the third-best scoring defense in the country.
The Arizona Wildcats have moved on from coach Sean Miller but show a strong College Basketball Odds Lines profit after two months of action. Arizona covered eight of its first 11 games and made the most money in the Pac-12 Conference.
Who is Not With Betting odds on College Basketball
Some big-name programs and teams that had recent success are struggling on the board heading into the new year. The Drake Bulldogs are one of those programs. Despite posting a record of 8-4 straight up, the Bulldogs are 2-9 vs. the odds. Drake is a classic case of a mid-major team that the masses became familiar with based on their ability to make the NCAA Tournament. Now that the secret is out, it’s not surprising that the Bulldogs have seen their value decline.
Meanwhile, the Oregon Ducks have been one of the public’s most favored teams in Las Vegas Odds for College Basketball. Oregon is a regular March Madness participant and a perennial Pac-12 title contender. Yet so far in 2021-22, Oregon is 6-6 straight up and 3-9 against the spread. In particular, the Ducks have alarmingly bad offensive metrics and not enough defense to cover for them.
Maryland prides itself on being a blue blood basketball program, at least in their own minds. But the Terrapins have covered only three of their first ten games. Long-time head coach Mark Turgeon had enough and resigned earlier in the campaign. The Terps face a difficult climb in the Big Ten Conference. Danny Manning is serving as the interim coach. This could be a lost season for the Terps.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers were also stumbling out of the gate in the Big Ten. Go Big Red has taken an entirely new meaning. Cause by that color of ink that is drowning gamblers. Nebraska got the money in just four of their first 12 games. Against Power Five competition, Nebraska was rendered helpless with no wins. Coach Fred Hoiberg is in his third season. He was hailed as a program savior upon arrival but doesn’t seem to know what kind of identity he wants to develop.
One of the bigger blue blood disappointments is the Kentucky Wildcats. Coach John Calipari’s program is 8-2 straight up but 4-6 against the spread. For the second straight year, UK is not delivering the goods for gamblers. One problem is that Kentucky draws huge amounts of casual money based on branding. One problem in getting over the hump for Kentucky is terrible 3-point shooting.
