Michigan Sportsbooks Post Excellent April Numbers
May 23, 2024Parlays Dominate Louisiana Sportsbook Betting
May 23, 2024Saturday’s have been kind to my MLB parlay picks, and that was once again the case last week when we cashed five of seven overall legs. The day started off in the City of Brotherly Love where the Phillies secured the 4-3 extra innings win over the Nationals to go over their 3.5-run team total and cash on the moneyline, but Mackenzie Gore balled out and went 6.1 innings to exceed his 17.5 recorded out prop. Though it ended up taking place on Sunday Night Baseball instead, Yu Darvish remained locked in to dominate the Braves while the Friars peppered Bryce Elder for six earned as expected. It looked like we’d waltz to a ticket cash on the full game under with Jack Flaherty and Zac Gallen each posting zeroes through five innings in the desert, but then all hell broke loose in the sixth and seventh with eight total runs scored. Let’s see if we can’t get all of this Saturday’s selections to the finish line at Caesars Sportsbook with another installment of parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Chicago White Sox have won a grand total of 14 games at the time of this writing. Good for a net loss of over $1200 for MLB bettors stupid enough to back them in all 48 games played to this point of the season. However, 10 of those triumphs occurred in the comforts of Guaranteed Rate Field where the team has only cost their supporters nearly $60. While this recommendation won’t be for the faint hearted, I’m backing the Palehose in the third game of this series with the susceptible Dean Kremer set to square off against Eric Fedde.
I faded Chicago’s right-hander earlier this week in Toronto where he served up 5 ER through six innings to just exceed his 17.5 out prop. His home/away splits are a sight to behold with the righty getting ripped for a 5.47 ERA on the road, while only conceding 24 hits and 4 ER with a stellar 30:4 K/BB ratio at home where his ERA clocks in at a more investable 1.14. Kremer enters his tenth start a loser of two straight, and represents one of the more beatable arms in the Orioles starting rotation. As such, I’ll take a stab with the home team and look for Eloy Jimenez and crew to hang a crooked number in the process.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Same Game Parlay:
The gift that keeps giving, otherwise known as the 2024 Philadelphia Phillies, is a machine that’s stockpiled enough wins to race by the Atlanta Braves and secure NL East bragging rights. This runaway train clocks in as the third best bet against the MLB Odds in the game with it reeling in upwards of $930 for its wagering supporters. The gains are likely to continue throughout this series in the Mile High City, and I’m looking for an eruption of sorts in the meat game of the series with Aaron Nola set to match wits with an overachieving Dakota Hudson.
Since going 0-4 with a bloated 6.57 ERA in the month of April, Hudson has fared a bit better throughout May with the righty only allowing 18 hits and 11 ER through 19.2 combined innings over four starts. However, they came against the Marlins, Padres, and Giants twice. None of those offenses can hold the Phillies jock right now with Bryce Harper and his mates owners of the highest scoring lineup in the Bigs (5.3 RPG). On top of that, Philly ranks out as the third best team in the league at taking walks (10.1%), and Hudson is issuing 5.5 walks per nine innings. The dude strikes out fewer batters than he walks per start (0.96 K/BB) which will see his WHIP take a huge hit in this, his tenth start of the baseball betting season.

New York Yankees vs. San Diego Padres MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Friars have been fantastic for our collective bankroll throughout their resurgence over the last month; especially lately after winning the series at home over the Dodgers and following it up with an even more impressive showing in Atlanta. We won’t rehash the entirety of that shocking three-game set with the Rockies. I laid the heavy home chalk with Dylan Cease in one of those games and paid the price after he took the loss in a game he was installed a -280 chalk to win at Caesars. That was followed up with another forgettable performance against the Braves after allowing nine hits and 5 ER through only four innings. With all eyes on Juan Soto and his return to Petco, I expect the right-hander to rise to the task at hand and resemble more of the hurler that was starting to get some NL Cy Young buzz before spitting the bit.
As impressive the Yankees have been throughout the month of May to take hold of the top spot in the AL East standings, the record has been bolstered by taking on a number of losing teams. While Marcus Stroman looks to have gotten on track because of it, he’ll be tested by a San Diego offense that’s done its best work against right-handed pitching in averaging 5.3 runs per game. It also strikes out at the fourth-lowest in the league (19.7%). If the Friars are to become a legitimate playoff contender and compete for a wild card berth, this is the type of game and series it must win. I expect them to do just that Saturday night!
