MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Friday, May 31
May 30, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, June 1
May 31, 2024Had Blake Snell been able to tally a few more outs against the Phillies in his second start back from the IL, we would’ve swept last Monday’s same game parlay picks. Though the Twins bullpen made things interesting late, Joe Ryan did his job to help lead Minnesota to the 6-5 win with Trevor Larnach and Co. getting to Alec Marsh early as expected. Though Snell failed to topple his recorded outs prop at Caesars Sportsbook, the Giants handled their business against Philadelphia winning 8-4 and easily surpassed their team total in the process making for a lucrative Memorial Day showing. Here’s to kicking off another week in style by adding to the bankroll – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers MLB Same Game Parlay:
The path to the AL Cy Young Award continues to be paved for Tarik Skubal who makes regular appearances in my parlay prop pick pieces every passing week due to how dominant the left-hander has been through his first 11 starts. The Tigers staff ace will take the bump in Arlington with a 7-1 record and 2.01 ERA that’s backed by an even more impressive 2.05 FIP to go along with a 7.27 K/BB ratio and just 5.9 hits allowed per nine innings. Detroit has come out victorious in all but three of his starts with the lefty doing his best work on the road (1.86 ERA) and at night (0.77 ERA). He’s already tossed 6.1 innings of 2 ER ball at Texas this season and rung up 6 K with a lone walk issued along the way.
Nathan Eovaldi will make his second start since returning from the IL after being limited to three innings in his return against Arizona. The right-hander allowed five hits and 2 ER while punching out a pair of D’backs. I fully expect him to be up to the task of going mano-a-mano with the current +150 favorite to win the Cy Young at Caesars, but I’m not sure how much gas he’ll have in the tank to go deep into the game with Texas taking it slow with him. Still, he’ll be good enough early on against a Tigers offense that ranks out below average against RHP (#20). That leads me to believe we get a pitcher’s duel early, so we’ll look to the under in the first five innings instead of the full game so as to avoid both squad’s shoddy bullpens.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Reds offense has been a tough watch ultimately leading to the club’s poor results against the MLB odds (-$658). Going into the weekend series with the Cubs at Wrigley Field, Cincinnati is scoring an average of just 4.05 runs per game (#21), batting a wretched .216 overall (#29), and their collective .657 OPS is only higher than three other teams (Mariners, Marlins, White Sox). On top of all that, it’s only managed to launch 52 bombs into the cheap seats (#20) and has played six more games in the band box otherwise known as The Great American Ball Park. Injuries are one of the main reasons as to why this team has been unable to get into a consistent rhythm offensively, but I got a feeling that changes in a big way to kick off the week when they open a three-game set in the thin air of the Mile High City against the Colorado Rockies.
Elly De La Cruz and his mates couldn’t have asked for a juicier assignment in the series opener than Ryan Feltner who’s proven to be nothing more than a stopgap throughout his three-plus years in the Bigs. The owner of a bloated 5.46 ERA and 1.500 WHIP, Feltner is serving up nearly 11.0 hits and 1.2 home runs per nine innings all the while helping lead the Rox to just three wins in his 11 overall starts. While his home/away splits are nearly identical, he’s been much better under the sun (4.32 ERA) than under the lights where he’s been ripped to the tune of a 5.91 ERA by way of allowing 54 hits (6 HR) and 28 ER through 42.2 innings of work. While the Reds have cost baseball bettors $220 when matched up against right-handed pitching, this is a pairing that T.J. Friedl and Co. should thrive in ultimately allowing the offense to hang a crooked number and keep the scoreboard operators busy throughout.
