MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, June 1
May 31, 2024NBA Finals Preview
May 31, 2024While last Sunday’s MLB parlay picks ultimately added to the bankroll, I came away a bit disappointed that we failed to sweep the board. Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the day off in the black by surpassing his 6.5 K prop with ease, while the first five innings under just barely came through. The Guardians/Angels matchup found its way over late with LA pushing its 4-run team total, but Ben Lively got me again by tossing seven strong innings. The Sunday nighter between the Cubs and Cardinals played to the expected low scorer with Javier Assad serving up five hits through 5 IP to come in just below his 5.5 allowed hits prop. Inexplicably, Sonny Gray departed after throwing five innings of shutout ball on only 74 pitches costing us the over of his total outs recorded prop at Caesars Sportsbook. Let’s close the week out strong by adding more to the bottom line – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Washington Nationals vs. Cleveland Guardians MLB Same Game Parlay:
Not knowing who the Tribe will be marching to the bump at the time of this writing kind of sucks, but I’m still all in on road Jake Irvin regardless of Cleveland seeing beach balls at the plate right now. The Nats right-hander deserved better earlier this week after tossing six brilliant shutout innings with 10 K at the Braves. Unfortunately for him, the offense simply couldn’t get anything done against Max Fried through his eight stellar innings of work.
Even so, Irvin enters his 12th start the owner of a 3.43 ERA and 1.032 WHIP that’s supported by an even better 3.32 FIP and 4.91 K/BB ratio. He’s been even better on the road where his ERA falls to 2.63 and WHIP to 0.85. Opponents are batting .186 against him through 41 total innings pitched away from Nationals Park. It’s possible Xzavion Curry gets the starting nod for the home team, and if that ends up the case, I expect the offense to give Irvin the run support needed to put himself in a position to tally his third ticket cash of the year against the MLB odds.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Cubs are spiraling downwards in the worst of ways. After just dropping three of four to the Crew in Milwaukee, Chicago has amassed just four wins over its last 16 games (-$903) and things don’t look to be getting any better in the short term as rough a go the offense has had at the plate during this losing stretch. The offense as a whole is batting a league-worst .191 over the last two weeks while going down on strikes at a mind-numbing 25.9% clip. Things aren’t likely to get better in the finale against the Reds either with Nick Lodolo set to take the bump looking to build upon what’s been a rock solid 2024 campaign.
The lefty just came off the IL to make his seventh start of the baseball betting season and proceeded to toss 5.1 innings of five hit (1 HR) and 1 ER ball at what has been a scorching hot St. Louis offense to earn his fourth win of the season and lower his ERA to 3.12. The Cubs stand 4-7 (-$350) versus left-handed pitching, and Chicago hasn’t seen his new-look stuff since last opposing him twice back in the 2022 baseball betting season. He logged 11 K through 9.2 innings back then, and I fully expect him to flourish in this spot as well.
Ben Brown dazzled last time out tossing a no-no through seven innings in Milwaukee. He also added a season-high 10 K and threw 93 pitches which amounts to his highest pitch tally of the season. While the ‘Natti is yet to get the offense going this season, it recently got a huge piece to the puzzle back in the form of T.J. Friedl. While yet to get going, it’ll only be a matter of time and Brown off his best showing in the Big Leagues could prove to be the elixir needed for the sticks to get their groove back. Regardless, I don’t envision Brown being long for this one with him serving up 3.3 BB/9 and the Reds one of the best in the business at taking free passes (#6).
