MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, June 12
June 10, 2024Wednesday, June 12 NBA Finals Same Game Parlay Picks
June 11, 2024Golf’s third major of the season, the U.S. Open, begins on Thursday in North Carolina with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler favored at BetMGM at odds of +333. Scheffler is a heavy favorite, as the second choice in the betting odds are Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele at odds of +1200. Other players listed at odds of less than +2000 are Collin Morikawa at +1400 and Viktor Hovland at +1800. Since this is a major, we will see LIV Golf players in the field this week and the top LIV player in terms of the golf betting odds is Bryson DeChambeau who is listed at +2000. Let’s look at U.S. Open odds and picks.

Venue: Pinehurst No. 2 is one of the top golf courses in the world and it is tough. This will be the fourth time it has hosted a U.S. Open and only four golfers have ever finished under par. The greens are tough to hold, so short iron play will be critical this week. Last year’s U.S. Open in Los Angeles was considered too easy and we saw a single-round record of 62. That will not be the case this year.
Last Year: Wyndham Clark won his first major title last year, edging out Rory McIlroy by one shot. Scottie Scheffler finished three shots behind Clark in third place, with Cameron Smith another shot back in fourth. Rickie Fowler, Min Woo Lee and Tommy Fleetwood tied for fifth.

Favorite
Scottie Scheffler +333
Last week it was Scheffler winning for the fifth time this season, holding off Collin Morikawa at the Memorial. We have said countless times this season that golf betting favorites are a losing proposition overall except for Scheffler. He has been the one player who has delivered more often than not. His odds are really low and it is getting to the point where he is in Tiger Woods territory, where Scheffler should be seriously considered no matter his odds. Pinehurst No. 2 is a tough course and Scheffler thrives on tough courses. I am not one who likes to take favorites in golf betting, but as I said last week, I won’t argue with you if you take Scheffler whenever he tees it up.
Golf Picks
Collin Morikawa +1400
The only player who had a chance last week against Scheffler was Morikawa and that could be the case again this week. There is no doubt that Morikawa is playing well and he is another player who does his best work on tough golf courses. Morikawa leads the PGA Tour in driving accuracy and we know that Pinehurst No. 2 demands accuracy. I think Morikawa will contend again this week.
Brooks Koepka +2200
When it comes to majors, I think you have to put Koepka on your list of potential winners. I know that he hasn’t played that well in the first two majors this season but Koepka is another player who loves tough golf courses. We really didn’t see that at Augusta or Valhalla. We know that Koepka does well in driving accuracy and he ranks highly in GIR. I think we are getting a better price on Koepka than normal.
Sahith Theegala +5000
If you were not aware, the odds on previous U.S. Open winners have averaged +4100 since 2015. Theegala ranks 5th on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained Total. He also ranks in the Top 25 for Strokes Gained Off the Tee, Approach and Putting. He has done well on tough golf courses in the past and I think he can contend this week.
Lucas Glover +25000
This is an unreal price on Glover who is still one of the best ball strikers on the PGA Tour. He is one of the best players on the PGA Tour in hitting greens and that is what it is all about at Pinehurst No. 2. Glover is quietly having a good season and he knows how to win.
Peter Malnati +50000
Do you remember the last time that the U.S. Open was held at Pinehurst? The winner was Martin Kaymer who simply putted everything around the green. Malnati ranks highly in a number of putting categories and he is a player who knows how to win, as he does have two PGA Tour victories.
