MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Tuesday, June 18
June 17, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, June 19
June 18, 2024This past week’s Thursday MLB parlay picks failed to live up to the week prior. Our positions in the Nationals/Tigers game were cancelled due to Mackenzie Gore getting his start pushed back a day. Of course he dominated the Marlins the following night with all three recommended positions to take on the MLB odds cashing in! We then came one out short of sweeping our two-leg same game parlay that involved the Red Sox and Tanner Houck who outdueled Aaron Nola to help lead Boston to the dominant 9-3 win over the Phillies in the series finale. Unfortunately, he came up just short of exceeding his pitching outs prop in the process. Here’s to banging out some winners at Caesars Sportsbook on this Thursday’s shortened slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Washington Nationals MLB Same Game Parlay:
Speaking of Mackenzie Gore, the lefty remained locked in last time out against Miami in limiting the Nats’ division rivals to five hits and 1 ER with 10 K over seven sterling innings of work. The kid has come into his own throughout this baseball betting season, and because of it, is now an arm I have no issue backing against mid to below average opposition without batting an eye. Though he’s been his most hittable at home (3.80 ERA) and in day games (2.75 ERA), I simply can’t argue with the overall results that’ve seen him go 6-5 with a 3.24 ERA 91:23 K/BB ratio over 75.0 innings of work. Washington has come out victorious four of the last five times he took to the starting bump. Since surprisingly getting lit up by the Mets to kick off the month of June, the lefty has conceded 11 hits and 3 ER and racked up 17 K to just two walks over his last two outings. He showed well in his lone appearance against the Snakes last season limiting Zona to just 2 ER with 9 K over six strong innings.
Though Arizona has looked markedly improved of late, the four wins in their last six clashes against the MLB odds came against the Angels and White Sox. Though the Nationals also sit under the breakeven point for the season, Washington is a step above each of those clubs with it currently the first team out in the NL Wild Card race. Ryne Nelson does little to lead me to believe he’ll have what it takes to get in the way of a Nats offense that’s gone for 5.3 runs per game over the last week that’s led to a profitable 6-1 record ($560). I get that the Diamondbacks have demolished left-handed pitching in averaging a league-best 5.8 runs per game, but Gore is locked in at the moment and looking like one of the main reasons Washington will stick in the playoff hunt the remainder of the year.

Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees MLB Same Game Parlay:
You might want to take these recommendations with a grain of salt. Regardless of whether I’m backing or fading the Orioles, they’ve let me down more times than not this baseball betting season. They’ve lost a grand total of 24 games to date, and it seems like I’ve bet them in at least 10 of those defeats! That being said, I won’t recommend taking a position on Gunnar Henderson and co in this one and instead will tout Luis Gil and the Yankees who’ve come out on the right side of the scoreboard each of the last nine times the right-hander has led the team into battle. While he hasn’t looked as crisp the last few times out in conceding nine hits (1 HR) and 4 ER to the Dodgers and Red Sox, the kids stiff was still elite. One only has to check out his page at Pitcher List for confirmation.
As for Cole Irvin, I’m not about to buy into his 6-3 record and overlook the fact that he’s attained it by way of pitching to a .304 batting average against. Opponents are putting the ball in play and getting on base against the lefty evidenced by the fact that he’s served up 71 hits through 68.1 IP. Credit to him for not allowing those baserunners to do more damage, but there will come a time that he’s unable to escape. Why not right here this late afternoon against a Yankees offense that bludgeoned him for nine hits (1 HR) and 7 ER while also taking five walks in the six innings he threw at them last season? This will undoubtedly be a competitive series throughout with first place in the AL East on the line, but the Bronx Bombers hold the advantage in the finale.
