June 21, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, June 23
June 21, 2024It was a brutal showing for last Saturday’s MLB parlay picks! Though the day started off with a clean sweep of the SGP in the Cardinals/Cubs tilt with Shota Imanaga dominating en route to leading Chicago to the 5-1 win, we failed to log a single win the remainder of the day. Ryan Pepiot lost it in the fifth inning by serving up 5 ER turning a 1-0 Rays lead into a 5-1 deficit which ended his day after just 4.2 innings. Similar to Pepiot’s fate, Jared Jones’ start in Coors went sideways in the fourth and the Pirates could only muster four runs in a game its pitching staff conceded 16 runs to the weak hitting Rockies. Let’s sweep those debacles under the rug STAT and look to regaining that bankroll at Caesars Sportsbook this with another batch of parlay legs to invest in on this Saturday’s baseball betting slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Minnesota Twins vs. Oakland A’s MLB Same Game Parlay:
If ever there was a redemption start there for the taking, this would be it! Chris Paddack just got the ever-living tar beaten out of him by the A’s who lit him up for 5 hits (2 HR) and 5 ER through 2.1 innings nearly a week ago to the day. The outing came as quite the surprise after just tossing 6.1 innings of shutout ball at a similar Rockies lineup the start prior. That makes it two horrendous outings through three June starts after going 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA throughout the month of May. While the righty has been horrific on the road to date in allowing 35 hits (5 HR) and 24 ER through 26.1 total innings pitched, I can’t help but think he’ll be up to the test and flourish in this immediate rematch with an Oakland squad that dropped nine straight before shockingly taking two straight from Kansas City earlier this week.
J.P. Sears also finds himself in a revenge bout against the Twins who got to him for nine hits (3 HR) and 4 ER in his most recent start. The defeat dropped him to 4-6 and inflated his ERA to 4.25 over 15 starts. While he’s been his best at home (3.31 ERA), the lefty has also had issues in day games when he’s served up 10 of the 11 overall long balls given up this baseball betting season. With both starters being thrown to the fire in last week’s doubleheader, I expect much different results this time around. With most MLB bettors zigging with the belief that Minnesota romps to tally the road win, I’ll zag and expect both starters to surprisingly dominate and go deeper into this one than linemakers expect.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Houston Astros MLB Same Game Parlay:
Sorry Houston, but it just doesn’t look to be in the cards in 2024. Injuries have decimated the Astros pitching staff to the point that Joe Espada is being forced to march arms like Spencer Arrighetti to the bump every fifth day. The righty will head to the mound to make his 13th start of the MLB betting season in this one, and I’m not at all bullish on him being long for the middle game of this litmus test series with the Orioles. Baltimore will have had a full game to allow the adrenaline to subside after battling the Yankees, and that bodes terribly for the erratic Arrighetti who is yet to pitch through the sixth inning in any of his three made June starts.
After just getting rocked by the Tigers for seven hits (3 HR) and 7 ER last weekend, he’ll have to deal with a Baltimore offense that’s raked right-handed pitching to the tune of a .758 OPS (#3) that’s equated to 5.2 runs per game (#3) and 34-18 record versus the closing MLB odds ($770). That bodes extremely well for staff ace Corbin Burnes who enters start No. 16 having logged a dub each of the last four times he took to the starting bump. The veteran right-hander has logged quality starts 10 straight times, and that consistency will simply be too much for a Houston squad likely to be forced to the pen early due to Gunnar Henderson and co taking it to his opponent right from the jump.
