Tom Kim is listed as the favorite to win this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic. Unlike last week, where many of the world’s top players were in the field, Kim is the only player ranked in the Top 20 in the latest World Golf Rankings in this week’s field. Kim is listed as the favorite at Caesars with odds of +1000. Cameron Young is listed as the second choice at odds of +1400. It was a huge bounce back week for me last week with the matchup at the Travelers, as I went 4-1 including a nearly 2-1 plus price on Patrick Cantlay in his matchup against Xander Schauffele. Golf Matchup Picks

Aaron Rai +105 vs. Alex Noren

Rai had a chance to win this event a year ago but ended up in a tie for 9^th. He is playing well lately with four top 25 finishes in his last six starts. Noren didn’t play well at the U.S. Open, missing the cut and he has lost strokes in ball-striking in three straight starts. I’ll take Rai at plus money in this golf betting matchup.

Keith Mitchell -115 vs. Will Zalatoris

Mitchell has not played since he finished in a tie for 10^th in Canada. This course should suit him well as it rewards long drives. Zalatoris didn’t really play well last week with a tie for 42^nd and he lost strokes on approach and in putting. We know that you simply don’t do well at Detroit Golf Club if you are struggling with the putter. I’ll take Mitchell in this golf matchup.

Maverick McNealy -140 vs. Will Zalatoris

I took McNealy in the odds preview and I like him here against Zalatoris. I know it is sometimes risky to go against a player twice in the matchups, but I will in this case. McNealy might just be the best putter in the field and he should thrive at Detroit Golf Club. I’ll lay the price and take McNealy in this PGA matchup against Zalatoris.

Matt Wallace -130 vs. Nicolai Hojgaard

Wallace played pretty well last week at the KLM Open on the DP World Tour and he has made four straight cuts on the PGA Tour. He has been excellent of late with his ball striking and he has played well in this event with a 12^th and 10^th place finish.  I will take him at the small price in this golf matchup against Hojgaard.

Chris Kirk -120 vs. Nicolai Hojgaard

Kirk has played well in this event with four top 25 finishes. He has a scoring average of 68.38 in his four appearances in Detroit. He ranks 33^rd on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green.
