NHL Picks – Best Bets for Week of Feb 9-13
February 9, 2022MLB Prop Betting Overview
February 9, 2022We’re just 10 days away from the NBA All-Star Break, meaning this is the last week of play before the halfway point. The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors are the only two teams to reach the 40-win mark to this point. The Suns sit 2.5 games up for the top seed in the Western Conference.
In the East, the Miami Heat surprisingly hold the top spot, edging out the Milwaukee Bucks by one game. Chicago, Cleveland, and Philadelphia sit within three games of that No. 1 seed, too.
Teams will have one last run to improve their playoff standing before the All-Star festivities take place. Over the last few games, some teams are trending up while others are falling down the league rankings.
Take a look at BetMaker to see who’s hot and who’s cold before placing your next NBA wagers.

Who’s Hot?
Toronto Raptors
The Raptors find themselves on a six-game winning streak as they’ve moved past Brooklyn for the second spot in the Atlantic division standings. Toronto is now just two games back of Philadelphia for the top spot.
Sitting at just .500 a week ago, the Raptors are now 29-23, looking to keep this momentum going for a second half playoff push. It’s the offense that’s doing the job right now. Over this six-game streak, Toronto is averaging 118 points per night.
That offensive success has made the Raptors an NBA best bet during that time. They’re a perfect 6-0 against the spread. Next up is a meeting with Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors have won nine games in a row to climb within three games of the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. At 41-13, Golden State boasts the second-best record in all of professional basketball.
That Steph Curry led offense is averaging 121 points per game over their last seven outings. They’ve eclipsed the 120-point mark in five of those seven matchups, leading to a 4-2-1 mark against the spread. They’ll play Utah on Wednesday looking to run their winning streak to 10 games.
Boston Celtics
Boston sits in fourth place in a very competitive Atlantic division with a recent five-game winning streak pushing their record to 30-25. While they are fourth in the five-team race, the Celtics are just 0.5 games out of second and three games back of the first-place 76ers.
Fantastic defense has been key throughout this winning stretch as the Celtics have allowed just 94 points a game over their last five outings. They’ve held four of those foes to under 100 points, leading to a 4-1 record for under bettors.
Boston can jump Brooklyn in the division standings with a win over the Nets tonight. The Celtics enter the divisional matchup as a six-point road favorite at SugarHouse.
Who’s Cold?
Brooklyn Nets
Speaking of Brooklyn, they find themselves on a league-high eight-game losing skid. They’ve now fallen from first in the Eastern Conference to third in their own division since losing NBA scoring leader Kevin Durant. They’ll drop to fourth in the division with a loss tonight versus Boston.
Despite the lack of recent success, the Nets are still the top NBA Finals pick at SugarHouse. They boast +400 odds of bringing home the title.
If they want those championship hopes to come to fruition, they’ll need to shore up their poor defense. Over this eight-game skid, the Nets are allowing 120 points a night. They’re just 1-7 against the spread during that time.
Charlotte Hornets
Charlotte had done a nice job of getting back in the Southeast division race, ripping off nine wins in 12 games. Unfortunately, that momentum has come to a screeching halt over the last week. The Hornets are on a five-game losing streak, falling to just one game over .500 on the year. They’re now seven games out of first place in the division.
Charlotte is struggling to score of late, averaging just 97 points per night throughout this skid. They’re also just 1-4 against the spread with the under hitting in each contest.
Portland Trailblazers
Portland has lost five straight games to fall to 21-33 on the year. The offense is struggling, failing to top 95 points in three of those five losses. They’re averaging just 98 points a night over this recent stretch, seeing the under hit three times.
The Trailblazers are far from an NBA best bet at this point, posting an 0-5 mark against the spread during their losing streak. They’ll look to right the ship tonight against a bad Orlando team. Portland enters as a 3.5-point favorite at SugarHouse.
