NFL Defensive Player of the Year Odds and Picks
July 9, 2024LIV Golf Andalucia Odds and Picks
July 10, 2024We are just a week away from the last major of the season, the Open Championship, and I am on a great run with the matchups, going 12-2-1 in the last three weeks. It was 4-0-1 last week with the matchups at the John Deere Classic. Rory McIlroy is listed as the favorite to win this week’s event in Scotland, the Genesis Scottish Open. McIlroy is listed at odds of +700 at Caesars with Xander Schauffele next at odds of +900. Many of the world’s top players are in the field this week as they prep for next week’s Open Championship. Let’s look to keep this great run going with the matchups in Scotland. Let’s look at Genesis Scottish Open matchup picks.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Genesis Scottish Open matchup odds at Caesars.
Defending Champion: Rory McIlroy
Tournament Notes: The Renaissance Club is a par 70 that measures 7,237 yards. It can be difficult at times, especially on the greens, but last year’s winner, Rory McIlroy still shot 15-under par. The course can play difficult when the wind kicks up but the forecast is calling for very little wind this weekend.

Golf Matchup Picks
Rory McIlroy -130 vs. Collin Morikawa
Rory has had three weeks to get over his loss at the U.S. Open so he should be ready to roll in Scotland. He won this event a year ago and there is no reason to think he won’t play well this week. I know Morikawa has played better of late but he has done nothing at The Renaissance Club in the past with two poor finishes. I’ll lay the small price and take McIlroy.
Tom Kim -120 vs. Sungjae Im
I said in the odds preview that it may be time to get on the Tom Kim bandwagon. He has been playing much better of late and he has shown an affinity for The Renaissance Club, finishing third in this event in 2022 and last year he tied for 6th. I’ll lay the small price in golf betting odds and take Kim in this matchup.
Alex Noren -105 vs. Davis Thompson
This matchup is simply one of my go-to matchups when a winner from the previous week tees it up. A letdown is almost assured from last week’s winner and it could be a big letdown for Thompson who is coming off his first PGA Tour win. I’ll take Noren in this matchup.
Aaron Rai -150 vs. Denny McCarthy
We have seen a lot of Rai on leaderboards lately, as he has four straight top 20 finishes with two of those finishes in the top 10. He won at The Renaissance Club in 2020, so we know he can play well on this course. McCarthy may struggle in this event because of his lack of distance off the tee. I’ll take Rai in this golf betting matchup.
Tom McKibbin -145 vs. Jordan Smith
If you haven’t been paying attention to the DP World Tour then you may not know that McKibbin is having a nice season. He is eighth in the Race to Dubai with four top ten finishes. He tied for 35th in this event a year ago. I’ll lay the price and take McKibbin in this golf matchup.
