July 11, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, July 13
July 11, 2024We were humming along last week up until Friday when my MLB parlay picks produced a horrific 1-5 showing with two of the defeats coming by the hook. We started the day off by fading NL Rookie of the year Award favorite Paul Skenes. Though the Mets got to him early, the stud right-hander settled in and went on to exceed his K prop once again. I figured the pitching showdown between Aaron Nola and Max Fried would amount to a duel, but it proved to be anything but with the Phillies outslugging the Braves enough to log the 8-6 win. The night closed out with Tyler Glasnow just coming up short of exceeding his K prop with Freddy Peralta pushed to Saturday. BetMGM Sportsbook got the last laugh. The aim is to recoup those losses with this Friday’s installment of parlay leg recommendations – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Detroit Tigers MLB Same Game Parlay:
We faded the Dodgers in Philadelphia earlier this week with the NL Cy Young Award frontrunner on the bump, and we’ll do so once again to kick-off Friday’s MLB parlay picks with Tarik Skubal set to make his 19th start of the MLB betting season. In case you live under a rock, Skubal is currently the even-money +100 favorite to take home the AL Cy Young Award at BetMGM with the Tigers’ right-hander proving start in and start out that he’s by far the nastiest hurler the American League has to offer. With Glasnow making yet another appearance on the IL as predicted by me earlier this season, things are rough in the pitching department for the Dodgers right now. As it is, an arm currently isn’t listed to make this start.
It doesn’t matter. LA is praying to get to the All-Star break without losing any more bodies. On the flipside, Detroit comes in hot having just had a four-game win streak snapped after the bullpen blew things up in the ninth. Four of Skubal’s last four starts have taken place away from Comerica Park where the right-hander has been nothing short of lethal in going 6-0 with a 1.74 ERA and 58:12 K/BB ratio. The Dodgers offense has been all or nothing lately, and I fully expect it to be the later in this one with Skubal only allowing 10 ER through 51.2 innings pitched in front of the hometown faithful. LA hasn’t been swinging big sticks lately either and has been going down on strikes at a 23.2% clip over the last week. Look for Skubal to make the most of this opportunity and dominate one of the league’s elite en route to logging his eleventh win of the year.

Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros MLB Same Game Parlay:
A huge series kicks off in Houston Friday night with the Rangers and Astros set to engage in the opener of a pivotal three-game set. Heading into the All-Star break, both squads are hot on the Mariners’ heels looking to take over the division lead with the teams 5.5 and 2-games out respectively heading into Hump Day night’s baseball betting slate. A white hot Hunter Brown will toe the bump for the home team looking to bounce back from his worst start since the beginning of June after the Twins lit the righty up for 12 hits (1 HR) and 7 ER through six innings. Oddly enough, it was Minnesota that handed him that aforementioned loss as well. MLB bettors will more than likely be lining up in droves to back him back home in Minute Maid where he’s been at his best in going 3-2 with a 3.44 ERA, but I won’t be one of them.
While Andrew Heaney leaves much to be desired due to his 3-9 record and 8.8 hits allowed per nine innings, the left-hander enters his 18th start in a bit of a groove having allowed two or fewer earned runs in three straight starts all the while racking up an impressive 21:4 K/BB ratio through 17.1 innings of combined work. More so, I’m very much so bullish on the Rangers and believe the reigning World Series champs make a huge run to put themselves in a position to defend their first-ever title in the postseason. That run has already started! While Texas hasn’t been a great MLB odds bet when installed underdogs (15-23), Houston hasn’t been much to get excited about when favored (34-31). With the Astros likely laying a pretty decent number on the moneyline due to Heaney’s horrific splits against current Astros’ sticks (.313 BAA), the value will reside with the visiting Rangers who enter this series the more rested team coming in a rare off day.
