Oklahoma Sports Betting Fails to Gain Traction
July 19, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, July 22
July 19, 2024This season MLB has the opportunity to crown two Triple Crown Award winners, one in each league. BetMGM has odds on Shohei Ohtani winning the National League Triple Crown and odds on Aaron Judge winning the American League Triple Crown. A player must top his league (National or American) in batting average, home runs, and RBIs in order to win the hitting Triple Crown. Another Triple Crown in pitching is held by a pitcher who leads his league in ERA, strikeouts, and wins. Two players have won the award for each league in the same season only once in MLB history. This occurred in 1933 when Chuck Klein won in the NL and Jimmie Foxx in the AL.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

In baseball, the Triple Crown is an uncommon achievement. The last time it was done was by Detroit Tigers player Miguel Cabrera in 2012. In terms of RBIs, home runs, and batting average, the future Hall of Famer led the AL. He had a fantastic season, hitting.330 with 44 home runs and 139 RBIs.
Shohei Ohtani
The halfway point of the 2024 season has just passed. Los Angeles Dodgers prodigy Shohei Ohtani leads the National League in home runs and he is right there with the leaders in average and RBI’s. Ohtani has always been a power hitter, but he had not ended a season with a hitting average above .286 until last year, when he hit .304. His decreased attention on pitching and hitting is likely one reason for the increase in his average.
Ohtani’s productivity has remained steady during the first three months of the 2024 season, therefore it gives him a chance to win a Triple Crown. In March and April, he batted.336; in May, .312; and in June, .293. In March/April and May, he also had the same number of home runs (7) and RBIs (19). In June, Ohtani increased his power by driving in 24 and hitting 12 bombs.
Aaron Judge
Judge’s season started out more slowly than expected. The slugger for the New York Yankees was hitting just.207 with six home runs and eighteen RBIs as of the end of April. But when May arrived on the calendar, Judge turned the corner. In May, he had a .361 average with 14 home runs, and 27 RBIs. Then he experienced a great month of June with a .409 average with 37 RBIs and 11 home runs. That wasn’t a misprint; you didn’t read it incorrectly.
Here’s an even more absurd statistic. Judge has an OPS of 1.439 after slashing.398/.507/.932 in his last 50 games. This is the highest OPS a right-handed hitter has had over a 50-game timeframe. He had 64 RBIs and 25 home runs in that same time frame. Judge leads the AL in RBIs (85) and home homers (34) overall. The problem for Judge in winning the Triple Crown will be his average. He is hitting .306 but Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Indians is hitting .352.
Right now, Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are worth watching in terms of the Triple Crown. We’ll see if Ohtani can maintain his steady pace and if Judge can make up some ground on Kwan in terms of batting average.
