July 30, 2024Hope For Nebraska Online Sports Betting
July 31, 2024We are coming off a big win last week, as we hit Jhonattan Vegas winning the 3M Open at odds of +4500. We’ll try and continue the winning in this week’s Olympic golf competition in France. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is listed as the favorite at odds of +360 at Caesars and he is followed closely by World No. 2 Xander Schauffele at +550. Also listed with odds of +1000 or less are Rory McIlroy at +900 and last week’s LIV winner in England, Jon Rahm at odds of +1000. Olympic golf is a normal 72-hole stroke-play tournament that will award a gold, silver and bronze medal. If there are any ties for the positions there will be a playoff. Let’s look at Olympics golf odds and picks.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Olympics golf odds at Caesars.
Venue: Le Golf National Albatros course is a par 71 that measures 7,174 yards. It opened in 1990 and has hosted the Open de France on the DP World Tour in 29 of the last 31 iterations. The course also hosted the Ryder Cup in 2018. The course is known for fast greens, tight fairways and links-style bunkers. Accuracy off the tee will be very important this week.
Four Years Ago: Xander Schauffele shot a 4-under par 67 to win the gold by one shot over Rory Sabbatini. C.T. Pan won the bronze in a seven-man playoff.

Favorite
Scottie Scheffler +360
It was another favorite losing last week, as Tony Finau was never really a threat to win in Minnesota. This week all of the best players in the world are in action so that means Scheffler gets the favorite’s role. Scheffler has been the one favorite who you can consider in golf betting, but he hasn’t been flawless, as he failed last time out as the betting favorite at the Open Championship. The good news for Scheffler is that Le Golf National won’t be a putting contest. Accuracy and Approach are the key stats this week and Scheffler thrives in both categories. I hardly ever take favorites, but I think Scheffler has a good chance to win gold.
Golf Picks
Collin Morikawa +1200
Four years ago, Morikawa was in the mix but he fell short of winning the gold. Morikawa ranks highly in SG Off the Tee, SG Approach and SG Tee to Green. Morikawa hasn’t won this season but he has played well with a number of high finishes, including a 3rd at the Masters. Americans have dominated the majors this season and it wouldn’t surprise me if Morikawa won the gold this week.
Shane Lowry +2200
It will be interesting to see how Lowry bounces back this week after collapsing at the Open Championship. We have seen players rebound nicely after coming close to winning last time out and it could be Lowry who does that this week. He ranked highly in GIR at Troon and that is a key number for this week in Paris. I think Lowry will be in the mix this week and we get 22-1.
Tommy Fleetwood +2200
Is this where Fleetwood can shine? He played great at Le Golf National in the Ryder Cup and he won the Open de France on this course in 2017. He does really well on courses that demand accuracy and that is definitely the case this week. He also putts well on Bent/POA greens.
Alex Noren +2200
Noren is playing well with three top 10 finishes this season. He has played well at Le Golf National in the past, finishing in the Top 20 in five of his last six trips to the course, including a win in 2018. Noren is another player who does well on Bent/POA greens. Noren is capable of contending this week.
Guido Migliozzi +10000
Why not a huge longshot this week. We hit a good price last week with Vegas and this week we’ll look at Migliozzi at 100-1. He has won at Le Golf National in the past, as he won in 2022. He is also playing well, as he won at the KLM Open. He is very accurate off the tee and he is capable of being a contender this week.Check out the latest Olympic odds at Caesars.
