August 9, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, August 10
August 9, 2024After sweeping both weekend cards and taking it to Caesars Sportsbook the prior six days, last Monday’s MLB parlay picks brought us back down to earth after we absorbed a tough 1-5 showing. The Cubs never solved the rookie, and Kyle Hendricks brought his “A” game to the yard in what proved to be an ugly, low scoring 3-0 win for the visitors. A late, meaningless homer from Vinnie P saved us from a reverse sweep in the Red Sox/Royals game as well. Just some bad handicaps to kick off the week. Let’s not make another charitable donation to the sportsbook as we kick off another week on the diamond – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers MLB Same Game Parlay:
A potential preview of the NLCS is set to go down in Miller Park on Monday night when the Dodgers and Brewers cross path for the second and final time this baseball betting season. With each club attempting to chase down the Phillies for the best record in the National League, this series will be competitive from the jump. I give the nod to the home team in the opener of this extended four-game series with Freddy Peralta set to square off against Clayton Kershaw. The former Cy Young Award winner has made three starts since coming off the IL, and none have been what any MLB bettor would call pretty. The lefty has been lit up for 17 hits (1 HR) and 6 ER by the Giants, Padres, and Phillies. While the 11:3 K/BB ratio has been decent, his inability to even pitch through the fifth inning has been an issue.
Milwaukee’s offense just made some history taking it to the Braves in Atlanta earlier last week. They’ll enter this series ripping left-handed pitching for a league-best .303 batting average dating back to July 1. Over the last two weeks, the Brew Crew has gotten on base at a .371 clip against southpaws, and I expect them to keep the pressure on Kershaw to fatten up the pitch count quickly. Freddy Peralta came through for us in his last start by fanning six Braves to topple his K prop. While LA has also been masterful against LHP (#4), it hasn’t been the same story against RHP (#12) and Peralta has been his best in night games (3.74 ERA) when he’s tallied 108 K through 84.1 total innings. LA’s been fanning at a 27.1% clip against RHP over the last two weeks, so look for the staff’s K artist to put forth another big showing against the MLB odds in front of an amped and liquored up home crowd.

Atlanta Braves vs. San Francisco Giants MLB Same Game Parlay:
If you’ve been following along of late, you’ll know Blake Snell has been a recurring source to add to the bankroll over the last three weeks. It all started when he spun seven masterful innings against the Twins back on July 14, and was followed up with a 15 K performance against the Rockies two starts later. We ran it back in his most recent start right after throwing his first career no-hitter in Washington where he picked up a second straight win after logging six innings of 3 ER ball with another 8 K. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner is locked in right now! I’m going back to the well in lucky start No. 13 where he’ll run up against an Atlanta Braves squad that’s been riding the struggle bus ever since Ronald Acuna Jr. was lost for the season.
I warned of a major regression for the Braves about a month ago and have been picking spots to fade them on the baseball betting lines ever since. The recent ugly sweep at the hands of the Brewers saw them fall out of wild-card contention for the first time all year, and I don’t foresee the fall from grace getting put under wraps any time soon. This is an aging ball club without its staff ace and two superstars atop the order. It was only a matter of time until the negative regression monster caught up to them, and that time looks to be right now. Chris Sale has had a marvelous campaign in his age-35 season, but father time looks to be catching up to him quickly with the left-hander just getting ripped for 15 hits and 4 ER in successive starts against the Brew Crew. San Francisco loves staring back at LHP (#3), and the Giants are the team on the incline right now with it trimming its deficit in the wild-card race to three games. Snell and Co. hold serve and take the series opener!
