Week 1 College Football Parlay Picks
August 29, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, September 2
August 30, 2024We had a rough go of it last week which included last Friday’s MLB parlay picks that produced a losing 1-3 record. With Andrew Abbott scratched, we only ended up having one leg of the suggested Reds/Pirates parlay with action. Thankfully it came in after Bailey Falter only managed 4 K which just snuck in below his 4.5 target. We then swung and missed terribly in the D’backs/Red Sox series opener with Arizona going on to smash 12-2 handing us three straight ugly Ls. Brayan Bello simply didn’t have it, unfortunately. We’ll attempt to recoup the losses at BetMGM Sportsbook with another batch of parlay legs for Friday night – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Chicago Cubs vs. Washington Nationals MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Cubs haven’t been able to hit the ball all season. Ranked 20th in team batting average (.239) while scoring an average of just 4.48 runs per game (#14), Chicago’s offense has largely been a huge disappointment to this point of the baseball betting season. Things however have changed dramatically since the calendar turned to August with the team batting .262 (#7), getting on-base at a .335 clip (#4) with a .803 OPS—only the Royals and Diamondbacks have been better in the latter stat category! It seems like Dansby Swanson and Co. are making up for a whole season of wretched execution at the plate over the last week! The Cubs enter Friday’s series opener with the Nats fresh off an insane 14-10 comeback win that saw the team battle back from a seven run seventh inning deficit. In doing so, the team has clawed to two-games over .500 and into second place of the NL Central.
While there’s still plenty of work still needed to be done with it likely not catching Milwaukee and still 5.5-games back in the NL wild-card race. They’ll have an excellent shot to extend their three-game win streak against the MLB odds tonight with Shota Imanaga set to toe the visiting bump for his 25th start of the year. The Japanese import has been his absolute best on the road (2.94 ERA) and at night (3.09 ERA), and now gets to run up against a Washington offense batting .243 against left-handers (#19) overall and .235 (#16) over the last two weeks. On the flipside, the Cubs are batting .261 (#8) and only going down on strikes at an 18.7% clip (#5) against righties over the last two weeks. Jake Irvin only averages 7.5 K/9 and logged 19 total strikeouts over his last 33.1 innings. Look for Shota to thrive and for Chicago to keep the plate discipline going here resulting in a series opening win for the red hot Northsiders.

Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers MLB Same Game Parlay:
Sitting 9-games out in the AL West and 10-games out in the AL Wild Card race, it’s pretty safe to assume the Texas Rangers won’t go on to defend their World Series title come October. It’s been a swift fall from grace for the defending champs with injuries and a lack of production across the board ultimately leading to the team clocking in as the third-worst bet against the baseball betting lines (-$1564). Possibly off a series sweep of the wretched White Sox, Texas will enter Friday’s series opener with the A’s confident. Jon Gray and his 1.327 WHIP and 9.6 hits allowed per nine innings will take to the hill in Arlington where he’s already held Oakland to three hits and 1 ER with 9 K over 5.0 innings earlier this season.
If you’ve been following along this year, you’ll know JP Sears has made numerous appearances within my MLB parlay picks. I don’t know what it is about the left-hander, but he hates throwing in the Coliseum. That was highly evident last time out when he was ripped for nine hits (2 HR) and 5 ER through 3.2 extremely tough innings against the Brew Crew. Tonight should be different with the southpaw logging a pair of wins against the Rangers through two starts after allowing nine hits (2 HR) and 4 ER with an 8:4 K/BB ratio over 12.0 combined innings. Texas is batting a horrid .179 against LHP (#29) in August over 174 plate appearances. With the opportunity to close the gap in the division for third place, look for Brent Rooker and his mates to unleash an offensive assault on Gray’s weak sauce and for Sears to bounce back giving his team a quality effort that puts Oakland in line to win this game.
