MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Friday, August 30
August 30, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, August 31
August 30, 2024The results for last Monday’s MLB parlay picks were incredibly tough to accept. We came half an earned run, out, and hit away from busting out the broom and sweeping all four. Instead, we needed Tanner Houck to give up three ER and he only gave up two. We needed Yusei Kikuchi to not tally 17 outs, and that’s precisely what he did. We needed Kevin Gausman to surrender six hits, but he only gave up five. Thankfully the Red Sox and Astros combined to score nine runs which prevented us from taking the collar. Frustrating night to say the least! Here’s to the baseball gods allowing the bounces to go our way at Caesars Sportsbook on Labor Day as we kick off a new week with a fresh batch of MLB parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks MLB Same Game Parlay:
The switch can flip at any moment for Walker Buehler, but until the right-hander shows any semblance of getting back to the pitcher he once was, I have no choice but to look to fade his stuff. While he looked better last time out after tossing 4.2 innings of five hit and 2 ER ball with 7 K against the Orioles, the showing still didn’t do much to move the needle. The effort makes it 16 hits (1 HR) and 8 ER allowed with an 8:8 K/BB ratio through three starts and 12.0 total innings since returning from the IL back on August 14. While not as lethal against right-handed pitching (#7) as they are against lefties (#1) overall, the Snakes have been dialed in against everything of late which is why the reigning NL champs have catapulted themselves back into the playoff chase over the last month. With this being the final game of a crucial four-game series and both pens likely taxed throughout, look for the D’backs to hang a crooked number.
Same goes for the Dodgers however with Eduardo Rodriguez getting the starting nod for the sixth time since returning from the IL himself. Though Arizona has cashed in against the closing MLB odds in all four of his previous starts, it hasn’t been because of the right-handers ability to mow down the opposition. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite evidenced by his bloated 5.06 ERA and 1.219 WHIP that’s seen him serve up 8.9 hits and 2.1 walks per nine innings. Since slotting into the rotation in early August, the righty has allowed 21 hits (3 HR) and 12 ER through 21 total innings. He’s yet to reach the sixth inning in any start, and I don’t foresee him doing so in this one either against LA who’s raked RHP to the tune of a .274 batting average (#7) and only struck out at a 19.4% rate on the road (#6) over the last two weeks. E-Rod won’t be long for this one either in a game I foresee both offenses holding the upper hand.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Pirates and Cubs just hooked up in PNC Park earlier last week, and the series played out to being one of the craziest of the entire MLB betting season. Chicago busted out the whipping sticks in a huge way peppering Buccos pitching for 44 hits and 41 runs with two played games in the series playing out to final scores eerily reminiscent to defensive grinders in the NFL. Jared Jones was unfortunately one of the victims in his first made start since the beginning of July. The righty cruised through the first three innings, but it all went sideways real quick in the fourth which ended up seeing him depart immediately after with the stat line reading five hits (2 HR) 5 ER and 4:3 K/BB ratio. The crazy thing about it is that his fastball looked good. Chicago was just prepared for it and teed off. It didn’t help matters that his slider proved to be a no show. It’ll return, and I expect it to do so in what will be his fourth start and second against the Cubs in Wrigley this season.
Something must have been in the Pittsburgh air that night, and it got to Justin Steele as well. The righty had only allowed 14 hits and 4 ER in his previous 21.2 innings, but proceeded to get shelled for six hits and 2 ER in what proved to be his shortest stint of the month (5 IP). For one reason or another, the Pirates have had the right-hander’s number this season tagging him for 12 hits (5 HR) and 10 ER in two previous starts made back in May. He looked noticeably pissed last Tuesday, and I fully expect Chicago’s staff ace to take to his home bump with a chip on his shoulder looking to settle the score. The righty’s last two Wrigley starts saw him toss 13.2 innings of 4 ER ball with 16 K and only two walks allowed against the Cardinals and Tigers. Look for him to go deep into this one and hand the game over to the pen in position to tally his sixth win against the baseball betting lines.
