MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, September 2
August 30, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, September 1
August 30, 2024It proved to be a mixed bag with last Saturday’s MLB parlay picks after splitting both SGPs. We failed to log a single ticket cash in the matchup between the Giants and Mariners due to Blake Snell’s wildness (6 BB) and George Kirby issuing the one walk that went over his 0.5 BB prop. Five of the game’s seven overall runs were scored in the first five innings which handed us a loser on the F5 under of 3.5-runs. Thankfully, Pablo Lopez and the Twins beasted in the nightcap to limit the damage to our bankroll at Caesars Sportsbook after the righty logged the pitcher win and the offense bludgeoned Sonny Gray for 5 ER to log the 6-0 shutout win. Let’s do better with this Saturday’s installment of MLB parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Kansas City Royals vs. Houston Astros MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Royals enter this series playing some rock solid ball having cashed against the MLB odds in 10 of their last 14 games after just going into Cleveland and taking three of four from the Tribe. In doing so, KC trimmed its deficit in the AL Central to a single game with a month of games remaining on the 2024 docket. The Royals must continue wearing their big boy pants if they’re to snap a 9-year playoff drought and get in either with the division pennant in tow or as a wild-card entrant. A huge litmus test in the form of the Astros waits Saturday night when the AL rivals collide in the second game of this extended four-game series. It won’t be easy to pass either after the Royals busted out the brooms upon Joe Espada’s troops at Kauffman back in early April.
That being said, I’m willing to pay up and see if Cole Ragans finally has what it takes to exorcise his Minute Maid demons. Through three starts in the “Juice Box,” the lefty has been ripped for 14 hits (3 HR) and 9 ER while logging a terrible 12:10 K/BB ratio over 17.1 combined innings. He however has been his absolute best in opposing ball parks this season pitching to a 2.68 ERA and 1.08 WHIP while holding lineups to a collective .208 batting average. KC has come out victorious in each of his last four road starts. Yusei Kikuchi has been a godsend for the Astros starting rotation since coming over from Toronto with the southpaw 2-0 with a 2.89 ERA and Houston hitting the win column in all five of his starts. Save for the Orioles, the Red Sox, Rays, and Rangers have been brutal against LHP in August, while only the Cubs and Phillies have peppered south paws harder than the Royals during that stretch. With that, we’re taking a flier on Ragans in this spot and expecting Bobby Witt Jr. and Co. to dish out a reality check to the Astro’s left-hander.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB Same Game Parlay:
We backed the Braves at home against the Phillies a few weeks back when Max Fried squared off against Aaron Nola. Though the lefty did the job for us tossing seven innings of 2 ER ball to easily topple his 17.5 outs prop at Caesars, the Braves’ bullpen coughed the game up in the eighth inning preventing us from sweeping all three legs of the same game parlay. While it was a solid showing for Fried who had gotten lit up the two prior times he threw at Philadelphia, I don’t foresee him being able to mimic that showing in his fourth appearance against Bryce Harper and Co. The Phillies are ripping LHP to the tune of a .345 batting average (31), .399 OBP (#1), and .892 OPS (#2) over the last two weeks with current sticks on the roster batting a collective .310 against Atlanta’s southpaw.
Making matters worse for the visitors in the second game of this crucial four-game series is the offense being forced to run up against Zack Wheeler who has been nothing short of dominant over the entirety of the MLB betting season. The right-hander currently sits only behind Chris Sale on the NL Cy Young Award odds at Caesars, and his chances of closing the gap would increase with a dominant showing Saturday night with a nationally televised FOX audience looking on. Having gone 2-1 with a 1.97 ERA through five August starts, the righty has been most dominant against the baseball betting odds at home and at night (2.45 ERA) when he’s allowed 67 hits (9 HR) and 26 ER with a 98:27 K/BB ratio over 95.1 total innings. Though he’s only allowed 11 hits (1 HR) and 2 ER with a stellar 13:0 K/BB ratio versus Atlanta this season, he’s 0-1 and will be gunning for his first win over Philly’s hated rivals—he gets it tonight!
