MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Sunday, September 1
August 30, 2024Georgia Sports Betting Remains on Hold
September 3, 2024We took a small loss at BetMGM Sportsbook with last Tuesday’s MLB parlay picks after splitting the six parlay leg recommendations. The Damn Yankees ended up getting blasted by the Guardians in extra innings failing to do enough damage to Matt Boyd along the way. Thankfully they scratched out two runs in extras to go over their 4.5-run team total. Martin Perez sailed through the first three innings of his start against the Twins, but then gave up 3 ER in the next two innings to just go over his 2.5 run ER prop. Minnesota letting Bailey Ober go in the seventh afforded us a ticket cash on the over of his 2.5-run ER prop as well, before San Diego put the game away with four plated runs in the bottom of the eighth. Let’s win the night with another Tuesday edition of same-game parlay legs – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.

Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves MLB Same Game Parlay:
The Atlanta Braves enter the week off a disastrous showing in Philadelphia where their division rivals took three of four to throw a wrench in the team’s plans of qualifying for the playoff via the wild-card. What was once a comfy lead atop the wild card standings is all the way down to one-game, with another division rival in the New York Mets breathing down their necks. The red hot Cubs have also clawed within 3-games of the third and final seed. While the Braves are a team I plan to fade on the MLB odds the remainder of the season, this spot tonight won’t be one of them. Not with the running -550 favorite at BetMGM Sportsbook to win the NL Cy Young on the bump with Chris Sale looking to score his 16th win of the season against a wretched Colorado Rockies outfit serving as his opponent.
The Rox have proven to be one of the worst bets in the league with the team sitting 26 games under .500 and down $800+ overall for those brave enough to back them on a gamely basis. It’s hit .237 against left-handed pitching for the year (#22), but over the last two weeks is only hitting .222 (#20) while striking out at a 24.4% clip. Though the injury bug recently took another key cog out of Atlanta’s everyday lineup—Austin Riley, the Braves have still fared well against southpaws over the last two weeks in batting .253 overall (#9) with a .773 OPS (#5). That’ll likely spell doom for Kyle Freeland who only managed 3.2 innings and gave up 2 HR and 3 ER when throwing at Atlanta in Coors back on August 11. With three straight series set to go down against losing ball clubs, I fully expect the Braves to come out guns blazed and make a statement in this series opener that likely results in Cy Young frontrunner’s 16th win on the MLB betting season.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Kansas City Royals MLB Same Game Parlay:
Talk about the wind being taken out of your sails! After going into Cleveland and taking three of four from the Guardians, the Royals cut their deficit in the AL Central to just a single game. They then went into Houston and got beaten with the ugly stick by the Astros en route to dropping all four matchups against the closing baseball betting odds. Because of it, Matt Quatraro’s troops find themselves sitting 3.5-games out in the division with Jose Ramirez and Co. invading Kauffmann for the final regular season series between the division rivals. The thumb injury to Vinnie Pasquantino couldn’t have come at a worse time for the offense with it managing 2.25 runs per game since he hit the IL back on August 30.
While not the biggest Tanner Bibbee believer, the right-hander will enter this tilt with a chip on his shoulder after KC just got to him for eight hits (3 HR) and 5 ER in his last turn dropping him to 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA and .277 batting average against versus Kansas City over 16.0 innings to date (3 starts). Already with six innings of 2 ER ball with a 3:0 K/BB ratio thrown in KC this season, the righty has been his best on the road (2.81 ERA) and at night (3.49 ERA). His opponent, Brady Singer, enters start No. 28 off throwing his first quality start in August after tossing six innings of 2 ER ball with a 6:1 K/BB ratio at the Astros in the “Juice Box.” Yet to go further than the sixth inning in any of his four starts against the Tribe the last two seasons, putting the onus on the KC bullpen (#25) doesn’t come off as a recipe for success with it the owner of a 5.55 ERA (#27) and blowing three saves over the last 14 days. The pressure cooker has been turned up, and unfortunately, I’m not sold on this young team seeing its way to the finish line over the next 30 days.
