Oregon vs. Oregon State Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions
September 13, 2024New England Patriots at New York Jets Same Game Parlay
September 17, 2024Week 2 NFL player props are available at Caesars right now. Now that we have had a week to digest some of the early performances, we should have a better idea of what to expect in Week 2. One thing we know in Week 2 of the NFL is that many bettors will overreact to what happened in Week 1. That overreaction also applies to oddsmakers, who have to adjust the odds based on how teams performed in Week 1. That can give us some value with Week 2 NFL lines and with Week 2 NFL props. Let’s look at three Week 2 NFL player prop picks.
New York Giants at Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin Over 51.5 receiving yards
It was tough for McLaurin in Week 1, as he had just two catches for 17 yards. McLaurin is a No. 1 receiver in this league and I can’t see him getting shut down two weeks in a row. It also helps that he will be facing a New York Giants defense that was a disgrace last week. The Giants actually made Sam Darnold look like a great quarterback last week and that is hard to do. Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels is definitely capable of having a good week and I expect him to target McLaurin a lot in this game.
It should be McLaurin lining up against New York cornerback Deonte Banks who gave up 56 yards in Week 1. That was actually a decent performance for Banks who was worse than that a year ago when he ranked 32nd in the NFL in terms of right cornerbacks. I think McLaurin will easily surpass his total of 51.5 yards this week and a 100-yard game would not be a surprise.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown +140
A team that struggled last week was Cincinnati, as Ja’Marr Chase and the Bengals offense did next to nothing against the Patriots. There is no question that quarterback Joe Burrow will be looking for Chase a lot in this game against the Chiefs. Tee Higgins is likely going to miss this game for Cincinnati and that should mean more targets go to Chase. Kansas City has a decent defense but the secondary can have a tendency to give up big plays. Chase is definitely a big play receiver and he could end up with a long TD in this contest.
The big key in this game will be the play of Burrow who did not look good last week against the Patriots. We won’t overreact to one game and expect Cincinnati to be much better this week and for Burrow to play well. It also helps that the Bengals have more than held their own recently when playing the Chiefs. The Bengals beat the Chiefs at the end of the 2021 regular season and then beat them again in the AFC title game. They also beat them late in the 2022 season. Last year the Chiefs won in the regular season and in the playoffs, but both games were close. I look for Burrow and Chase to have big games so taking Chase to score a TD is worth a shot.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos
Najee Harris Anytime Touchdown +195
We know that the Steelers and Broncos are going to run the ball a lot on Sunday. The Steelers gave Harris 20 carries last week and he totaled 70 yards. Jaylen Warren is still out so Harris is going to get a lot of work again this week. And he will be facing a Denver defense that gave up over 100 yards last week to Kenneth Walker. You have to think it will be more of the same this week so Harris should have a big game. The Steelers ran the ball 40 times last week and it should not be any different in what figures to be a low scoring game in Denver.
The obvious drawback of taking a Pittsburgh player to score a touchdown is that there may not be a lot of points scored, but if the Steelers are to get a touchdown and there is a good chance that happens this week in Denver, getting 2-1 odds on Harris has some value.Check out the latest NFL player props at Caesars.
