October 25, 2024Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions Recap
Josh Allen threw two touchdowns, and James Cook ran for two more, leading the Buffalo Bills to a dominant 31-10 NFL odds win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 betting. The Bills, now 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS with a stranglehold of the AFC East, won their third consecutive game, outplaying Seattle on both sides of the ball. Allen threw for 283 yards and ended his streak of 300 passes without an interception, though Seattle failed to capitalize on the turnover. He responded by orchestrating a 93-yard touchdown drive. Buffalo held Seattle to just 233 total yards, including only 1 yard rushing in the first half, and controlled possession for over 38 minutes. Seattle’s offense struggled, with only a late touchdown and errors like a fumbled snap on fourth-and-goal. Frustration boiled over on Seattle’s sideline, with defensive linemen Jarran Reed and Derick Hall even exchanging punches. The Seahawks fell to 4-4 SU and bankroll bursting 2-5-1 ATS, dropping four of their last five games since getting out to a perfect 3-0 start.
The Seattle Seahawks continued being an enigma wrapped around a riddle last Sunday at home in front of the 12th Man. I’m not exactly sure how Mike Macdonald and his coaching staff game planned for the Bills, but it certainly didn’t involve running the football much. Shocking to say the least considering how porous the Bills run D proved to be heading into the game. Even with that the case, Kenneth Walker III only got his number called nine times—the same amount of times Ferris Buehler cut class back in the 80s. That allotment was simply inexcusable considering the match was competitive through two and a half quarters before Buffalo dominated the time of possession battle in the second half. Regardless, we swung and missed with No. 9’s combined yardage and the Seahawks on the moneyline, but did hit the under at PROLINE+. I don’t get the Seahawks and the Bills continue to be my kryptonite.
Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions
The Seattle Seahawks will attempt to move to 3-0 versus the AFC East in Week 8 betting action when Josh Allen and the surging Buffalo Bills invade the Pacific Northwest for the team’s first run-in since 2020. That tilt occurred in Highmark Stadium which saw 839 combined yards accrued and 78 points dent the scoreboard in a 10 point Bills victory. Total bettors don’t seem as bullish about points being scored in this one with 57% of the money booked at aligned with the under forcing a slight market correction to 47. With Buffalo taking in 63% of the bets and 56% of the handle per current action reports, the NFL odds have moved a half-point from the opener bumping the Bills up to 3.5-point road favorites with reduced vig attached to their side of the impost. Buffalo has split its four played road games both SU and ATS, while Seattle returns home from the big win in Atlanta losers of two straight in front of the 12th Man.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money.
Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks NFL Same Game Parlay:
Though this pairing pits two of the highest scoring teams in the league up against one another, I’m not at all buying into Josh Allen or Geno Smith leading their respective units up and down the field resulting in big numbers hung on the board from both sides. While inarguably a possibility with the amount of upper tiered offensive weaponry each side boasts, linemakers seem to be in agreeance with it hanging one of the lower high totals of the Week 8 betting slate upon it. Keep in mind, Mike Macdonald’s defense was embarrassed each of the last two times it took the field in front of the hometown faithful serving up 29 points to the offensively challenged New York Giants and then allowing the division rival 49ers to go for 36 four days later. I expect to see Seattle’s defense come out determined looking to build off last week’s showing in Atlanta where it only surrendered 14 points to what had been a streaking Falcons attack led by Kirk Cousins.
The key to getting to Buffalo is getting after it on the ground. Though Seattle is currently the owner of the league’s 27th ranked rushing attack that’s gone for less than 98 yards per game, it’s still averaged 4.5 yards per carry (#14) and is said to be getting healthier along the offensive line entering this game. When healthy, I’d argue there isn’t a better running back in the league right now than Kenneth Walker III, who ranks out as the 10th best RB in the league even though he’s played two fewer games and had 69 fewer carries than league leader, Derrick Henry. Even so, he’s averaging just two fewer fantasy points per game than that of the King. How you ask—receptions and doing something with them once getting his paws on the pigskin. Through 15 played games a season ago, Walker reeled in 29 receptions on 37 overall targets for 259 yards and a touchdowns. In only five games this season, he’s been targeted 26 times and caught 23 of them for 160 yards and a score. He’s averaging 4.6 receptions per game while going for a career-high 32 receiving yards per game.
Already allowing 133 YPG (#20) and 5.1 yards per carry (#29) to opposing ball carriers, Buffalo has also served up a league-worst 44 receptions for 381 yards and 3 TD to opposing running backs. In other words, the path is there for K9 to go nuclear on Sunday and put his team in position to log a huge outright win against a perceived Super Bowl contender. If you’ve read my stuff through the years, you’re fully aware I don’t buy into Buffalo winning a gosh darn thing with Sean McDermott roaming the sideline. The guy’s miscalculations and horrendous decision-making costs the Bills 2-3 games every year. This will be one of those games. I’m not sure how. I’m not sure when. But he will make the wrong call at some point in this one that allows for the Seahawks to defend their house and send the home crowd happy.
