The Miami Dolphins visit the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving night on NBC. The Dolphins have turned their season around, as they have won their last three games and are back in the playoff hunt with a record of 5-6. On the other side, the Packers are rolling, having won six of their last seven games. The Packers are listed as a 3.5-point favorite with a total of 46.5. The weather will be cold on Thursday night, but nothing out of the ordinary for a late November game at Lambeau Field. I am coming off a nice winning parlay last Thursday night with the Browns and the overs. Green Bay is in good shape to make the playoffs, but because they play in the toughest division in the NFL, they are unlikely to win the NFC North, as they trail both Detroit and Minnesota in the division.

As I said last week, Thursday Night NFL games are a different animal to handicap and predict. One thing that normally works well on Thursday night is to take the underdog and it worked again last week by taking the Browns. I have to say this week that I am not a fan of either team, as I think both head coaches are overrated. I know that when in doubt, you take the points and that is what I will do here. I think the best play in the game is to take the game under the total. The Dolphins haven’t done much on offense even with Tua under center and they could struggle against the Green Bay defense. The one strength for Miami has been their defense and Miami has been tough against the run this season. I think this game will stay under the total. I’ll go with the Dolphins plus the points and take the game under the total.
