December 2, 2024Packers at Lions Same Game Parlay
December 3, 2024The Hero World Challenge gets underway on Thursday in the Bahamas and even though it is not an official PGA Tour event, it does boast a strong field. There will be 20 players teeing it up at the Albany Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas led by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. This event is hosted by Tiger Woods but he will not be playing in the event this year. Scheffler is the defending champion and he is listed as a solid favorite at PROLINE+ at odds of 3.4-1. Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay are listed as the co-second choices at golf betting odds of 11-1, while Ludvig Aberg is next at odds of 12-1. Let’s look at Hero World Challenge odds and picks.

Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest Hero World Challenge odds at PROLINE+.

Favorite
Scottie Scheffler 3.4-1
I have said repeatedly that the only favorite in golf betting worth taking is Scheffler. All other players should be avoided because golf favorites simply don’t win enough to be profitable. The question this week is whether or not we want to back Scheffler at a really low number. We don’t know how much golf he has played lately, but there is no question he is the standout in this field and I can’t argue against taking him this week.
Golf Picks
Sahith Theegala 23-1
I am a little surprised that Theegala isn’t listed with lower golf odds. I think he should be listed with odds similar to what Thomas is listed at. What has Thomas done to rate as the second choice in this event? Theegala is the type of player who should do well at Albany and I expect him to contend this week.
Akshay Bhatia 29-1
Bhatia didn’t play in the FedExCup Fall but he did play in the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan and finished in a tie for 2nd. He has won in the Bahamas in the past on the Korn Ferry Tour. Bhatia is a player I will be keeping an eye on next season and it would not surprise me if he won this week.
Aaron Rai 31-1
The player who leads the PGA Tour in driving accuracy is Rai and he also ranks in the Top 10 in greens hit. He has seven top 10 finishes this year including a win at the Wyndham Championship. First time players have done well at Albany in the past and it could be Rai who thrives this week.
Nick Dunlap 51-1
I know that Dunlap is young but there is no denying his talent. He has already won twice and he did not look out of place at all in the FedExCup Playoffs. He had a tie for 5th and three other top 15 finishes. I am a little surprised the PGA betting odds on Dunlap are this high, as I think he has a good chance to compete this week.Check out the latest Hero World Challenge odds at PROLINE+.
