Favorite
Korda/Finau 6.5-1
I said last week that the only favorite in golf worth betting is Scottie Scheffler and he proved that statement correct, as he won yet again. Golf betting favorites other than Scheffler have been a losing proposition so despite the star power of Korda and Finau, I can’t take them as the betting favorite. It doesn’t help their cause that Finau hasn’t even played since having knee surgery in mid-October. I think this duo is overvalued and we know favorites simply don’t win that often.
Golf Picks
Thitikul/Kim 7-1
Why not two of the top players in terms of statistics? Thitikul is just 21 years old but she just won on this course and she leads the LPGA in greens hit, putting and scoring. Kim played well last week at the Hero and I expect him to continue his strong play this week.
Ko/Day 9-1
The defending champions are one of the top choices to win this event and it is easy to see why. Day has had a good season and Ko has had an outstanding season with a major win and a gold medal. I would prefer bigger odds on this duo, but I like their chances of being in the mix for the title, so 9-1 in golf odds will have to do.
Corpuz/Theegala 11-1
I see double-digit odds on Theegala and I have to take a shot. He is capable of getting hot and putting up a low score this week. Corpuz is excellent in terms of hitting fairways and greens so this should be an interesting combination. I’ll take a shot with this team at double-digit golf betting odds.
Stark/Poston 17-1
Stark has finished in the top four a total of four times this season and she gets to team up with Poston in this event. Poston is playing well of late and he won on this course in 2019. I think this team can make a run for the title and we get 17-1 golf betting odds.Check out the latest Grant Thornton Invitational odds at PROLINE+.
