NFL Divisional Parlay Picks
January 15, 2025Creighton vs. UConn Same Game Parlay
January 16, 2025Two of the top players in the world have pulled out of this week’s The American Express in California, as Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele will not play. That has made it a crapshoot as to who will end up as the favorite for this week’s event. Sungjae Im and Justin Thomas are two of the players who are near the top of the PGA odds board at Caesars for this event. There could be a lot of value in golf odds for this event, as longshots have done well in the past including last year when amateur Nick Dunlap won the tournament. It was a 1-3 week with the matchups last week at the Sony Open. Let’s look at this week’s American Express matchup picks and also pick another group winner.
Reduced juice betting is one of the best ways for any sports bettor to save money and far too many people don’t take advantage of it. If you are not playing at a sportsbook that offers reduced juice betting then you are simply giving away money. Check out the latest American Express matchup odds at Caesars.
Tournament Notes: The cut this week will be after Saturday’s action so keep that in mind, as pros and amateurs play together for the first three rounds. Players will compete on the Pete Dye Stadium Course, the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West and the La Quinta Country Club for the first three rounds and then play the Stadium Course on Sunday.

Golf Matchup Picks
Tom Kim +135 vs. Sungjae Im
I am doubling down on Kim this week, as I took him in the pick article and I like him in his PGA matchup at plus odds. There is no question that Im is a very good player, but Kim is more than capable of shooting a low score this week and winning this event.
Eric Cole -115 vs. Denny McCarthy
I don’t think it will be long before Cole gets his first PGA Tour win. I am not so sure the same thing can be said about McCarthy who seems to fold under pressure. Cole was tied for 5th last year in this tournament heading into the final round and ended up in a tie for 21st so he will want to improve on that performance. I’ll take Cole in this PGA betting matchup.
Harry Hall -115 vs. Ben Griffin
Hall just continues to play well with a tie for 10th at Kapalua and a tie for 8th at Waialae. He has made the cut in 11 of his last 13 events and has a win among his eight top 15 finishes around the world. I’ll take him in this golf betting matchup against Griffin.
Max Greyserman -110 vs. Kurt Kitayama
There is no question that Greyserman is one of the top young players on the PGA Tour today. He has three 2nd place finishes and a fourth in his last 11 starts. He tied for 24th two weeks ago at Kapalua and he should be even better this week. I’ll take him at a short price in golf odds vs. Kitayama.
Group Pick
I am coming right back to what I did the last couple of weeks with the group pick but this time looking at BetMGM and one of their groups. It is the top player from the South American group. I will go with Nico Echavarria at odds of +150. There is a lot to like about Echavarria right now as he is playing outstanding golf with three top finishes in his last six starts including the playoff loss last week. He has to beat Jhonattan Vegas, Emiliano Grillo, Alejandro Tosti, Cristobal Del Solar and Camilo Villegas to win this group.Check out the latest American Express matchup odds at Caesars.
