Warriors at Kings Same Game NBA Parlay Pick
January 20, 2025Heat at Bucks Same Game Parlay Pick
January 21, 2025The PGA Tour heads to Torrey Pines this week for the Farmers Insurance Open where Hideki Matsuyama is listed as the favorite at Proline+. Keep in mind that because of the NFL games on Sunday, this event will start on Wednesday and finish on Saturday. Matsuyama played well in Hawaii and he is listed at odds of 11-1. He is followed closely by Ludvig Aberg at odds of 12-1. Also listed at odds of less than 20-1 is Sunjae Im at odds of 19-1. It will still be at least another week before we see World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, so there could be some good value on the board. It was another longshot that won last week when Sepp Straka hit at odds of 60-1. Let’s see if we can find some value in this week’s PGA odds. Let’s look at Farmers Insurance Open odds and picks.

Favorite
Hideki Matsuyama +1200
It was another favorite that bit the dust last week when Justin Thomas didn’t win. Thomas did play well but he was not able to do enough on Sunday to make up his deficit to Sepp Straka. This week it is Matsuyama listed in the role of favorite. I say every week that betting golf favorites is a losing proposition. The only one worth considering is Scottie Scheffler and we won’t see Scheffler until next week. I know Matsuyama won in Hawaii and is playing well but I am not betting him as the favorite.
Value Picks
Ludvig Aberg 12-1
You can make a case that Aberg should be favored this week. He is rounding into top form after his knee surgery. He was fifth at The Sentry and there is no reason to think he won’t play well at Torrey Pines where he looked good in his debut a year ago. The field this week is not nearly as strong as it could have been with Scheffler, Schauffele and Morikawa not playing so this is a good spot for Aberg to get a win.
Max Greyserman 23-1
I have to throw Greyserman in here simply because he looks like a player who is going to start winning on a regular basis. He seems to be on every single leaderboard and the field this week is nothing special. I don’t want to miss out when Greyserman gets going so I will take him at these odds.
Will Zalatoris 26-1
I have already said this season that I expect Zalatoris to win and this will be one of the better spots for him. He led after 54 holes in this event in 2022 and nearly won but missed an 8-footer and then lost in a playoff. Zalatoris looks healthy now and he is already playing well including a 12th last week.
Max Homa 36-1
I am a little surprised that Homa is listed with odds this high. He won this event in 2023 and he played well in his last event at Kapalua. He has won six times in his career and four of his wins have come in California. Homa continues to be underrated by the oddsmakers which means he has serious value this week.
Harry Hall 56-1
Why not a longshot in Harry Hall? He continues to play well and he just needs to start driving the ball better to get a win. He has been gaining strokes on the field each week with his putter and this could be another week where he shines. I’ll take a flyer on him at big odds.
Stephan Jaeger 66-1
Another player listed at big odds is Jaeger who played really well last week. He was 2nd at the Black Desert Championship in October and 3rd at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He has played well at Torrey Pines in the past and this season he could do even better since he is in better overall form.Check out the latest Farmers Insurance Open odds at Proline+
