February 6, 2025Alabama Crimson Tide at Arkansas Razorbacks Same Game Parlay Picks Recap
The Alabama Crimson Tide survived a late Arkansas rally to secure an 85-81 victory, extending its winning streak to six games and further solidifying its top-five ranking. Unfortunately for the recommended same game parlay, the Tide was unable to cover the closing 5-point CBB odds despite holding multiple double-digit leads throughout. Grant Nelson and Chris Youngblood each scored 15 points for the Crimson Tide, while Mouhamed Dioubate added 14 and Mark Sears chipped in 11. Alabama’s depth proved crucial, as the Tide’s bench contributed 31 points compared to just 11 from Arkansas.
Arkansas was led by big man Zvonimir Ivisic, who poured in a game-high 27 points. Adou Thiero added 22, and Johnell Davis finished with 13. The Razorbacks trailed by 18 with just over six minutes remaining but responded with a furious 13-2 run, trimming the deficit to two in the final minute. However, Nelson drilled a clutch 3-pointer to push Alabama’s lead back to two possessions. Ivisic hit one of two free throws to make it 83-81, but Youngblood sealed the win with two late free throws. Alabama’s offensive efficiency was the difference, as the Tide shot 55% from the field compared to Arkansas’ 43%. With losses by No. 1 Auburn and No. 2 Duke on Saturday, Alabama’s path to the top ranking is wide open.
Even with the win, Bama still couldn’t hold onto the basketball (14 TOs) and its turnstile defense (#332) continues to be an enormous Achilles heel. Regardless of the offense shooting a blistering 55% from the field, it only managed the four point win largely due the defense conceding a 43.1% success rate and seven makes from long range. Though some home cooking was involved, it also sent the Hogs to free throw line 21 times. While the exorbitant amount of freebies barely allowed for the over to cash earning us the split, it also prevented Alabama from making its wagering supporters happy.
Alabama Crimson Tide at Arkansas Razorbacks Same Game Parlay Picks
Saturday night’s same game parlay picks take us to Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, AR where the Arkansas Razorbacks will attempt to defend their house against the surging No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide. Last we saw Bama in live action, they extended their win streak to five straight after taking the wood to Georgia 90-69 to cover the closing 12.5-point college basketball lines with ease. No letdown was suffered following Coach Cal’s revenge win in Lexington after the Hogs stormed Austin and scored a huge 78-70 outright win to come out victorious for the third time in their last four games. Bama has come out on top in each of the last four meetings, but only went 1-3 against the spread (ATS) with the over cashing at a 2-1-1 clip.
Look for Caesars to have the Razorbacks catching upwards of 7-points on the College basketball betting odds once released with the total lined north of 160 points.

Alabama Crimson Tide
Since losing outright as 12-point home favorites to Ole Miss, Nate Oats’ kids have played an exceptional brand of ball resulting in five straight wins against the likes of Kentucky, Vanderbilt, LSU, Mississippi State, and Georgia. They covered the spread in four of those matchups to move to 13-9 against the number for the season. The offense led the charge during that stretch with the unit tickling the twine for an average of 92.6 points per game leading to the over cashing three times pushing it to 10-11-1 in their 22 overall played games.
Mark Sears and the Tide were at it again last time out against the Dawgs hitting the 90-point plateau by way of shooting 52.6% from the field and hitting paydirt on 11 of 26 deep range shots. However, the unit committed a total of 20 turnovers with Sears accountable for six. Giveaways continue to plague the overall efficiency with it ranked 171st in offensive turnover percentage.
Arkansas Razorbacks
In a game of runs, Arkansas held off the Longhorns to score back-to-back upsets on the road Wednesday night to beef up the resume for a potential return to the Big Dance. Johnell Davis went HAM for the Hogs with a team-high 24 points on 7 of 15 shooting which included four makes from beyond the arc. Big man Zvonimir Ivisic played a big role as well, scooping up 12 rebounds and blocking four shots to help hold Texas to a sub 35 percent conversion rate from the field.
The dub moved the Razorbacks to 14-8 overall and earned the team just its third win in SEC play. While much more will need to be done by Calipari’s kids to secure a bid to the NCAA Tournament, things certainly look to be on the up-and-up with wins logged against Georgia, Kentucky, and Texas the last two-plus weeks.
Same Game Parlay Picks
Armed with the nation’s top ranked scoring offense that averages north of 90 points per game, the Alabama Crimson Tide certainly has the look of a team that could cut the nets down come March. The train of thought is reflected by the fact that Houston, Duke, and Auburn are the only three teams with a shorter rate of return than the 12/1 CBB odds Alabama currently offers up at Caesars right now. The Tide’s crux however, aside from committing turnovers, comes in the form of a defense that serves points up nearly as fast as they score them with the unit allowing 78.4 points per game (#330). While currently ranked No. 6 overall by the Pomeroy Ratings, the Crimson Tide’s 40th ranked adjusted defensive efficiency is well off the pace of the five teams currently ranked ahead of it.
But will it matter against a Razorbacks squad that, until recently, struggled to score? Before exploding for 89 points against the Wildcats and 78 against the Horns, Arkansas averaged just 64.3 points over its previous seven games, going 1-6 SU and ATS. Meanwhile, since their stunning home loss to the Rebels, Alabama has been playing with its hair on fire. While the Hogs may be eager for the challenge Saturday night, I’m not convinced they have what it takes to withstand the onslaught.
