LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah Picks
Dustin Johnson 5-1
I said last week that I don’t like betting golf favorites because they don’t win enough to be profitable, and Johnson didn’t win last week. Johnson has already clinched the individual points title so he should be playing free and loose this week. He has won twice at Royal Greens in the past and he holds the course record of 61 that he set in 2019. I usually like to avoid favorites, but Johnson has done so well in Saudi Arabia that he is worth a look this week.
Joaquin Niemann 9-1
I think this could be the week that Niemann gets into the win column on the LIV Tour. Length is not critical this week and Niemann has had enough time to get his feet wet in LIV. I think he is out to prove he is one of the top players on the Tour and he needs to get a win this week.
Talor Gooch 18-1
Another player who is overdue to win on this tour is Gooch. He came over early on and really hasn’t contended that often. He has the game to do really well on this course and we get a nice price.
Paul Casey 20-1
Casey has played pretty well on this course in the past with a 12th place finish last year and he was 24th earlier this year. Casey is another player who hasn’t lived up to his reputation so far on the LIV Tour and he needs a big week.
Sergio Garcia 25-1
Garcia is a player who does well on this course and he could challenge for the win this week. He finished sixth on this course in 2020 and we know he can beat the best players in the world.
