Sunday College Hoops Parlay Legs
February 3, 2023Wednesday NBA Parlay Picks
February 6, 2023Our bank rolls got a bit fatter once again last Tuesday after cashing two of three parlay leg recommendations. The Arkansas Razorbacks kicked the night off on the right foot after disposing of Texas A&M 81-70 to easily cover the 3.5-point impost. That winner was followed with another ticket cash on the Maryland Terrapins who scored a solid 66-55 win and cover as 3-point favorites against the Indiana Hoosiers to remain in the discussion of a first round bye in the upcoming B1G tournament. Unfortunately, the evening closed with a loss after the Nevada Wolf Pack once again defended its house – this time against the MWC leading San Diego State Aztecs. Let’s continue adding to the bottom line at PointsBet Sportsbook with three more investments you can confidently throw into your parlay cards on Super Tuesday!

Marquette Golden Eagles vs. UConn Huskies
Date and Time: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 6:30 PM EST
Location: XL Center, Hartford, CT
TV Coverage: FS1
Once a bright story in the infancy of the 2022-23 college basketball betting season, nobody wants anything to do with Dan Hurley’s Huskies whose swift fall from grace has been quite the head scratcher. Since rattling off 14 straight wins and covering all but one of those games against the closing point spread, UConn has managed just four wins over its last 10 tries and stands a bankroll killing 3-7 ATS in those matchups. Even so, I’m going back to the well with Adama Sonogo and Co. with the Huskies out to avenge the 82-76 loss it incurred at Marquette as 2-point road chalk back on January 11.
The Huskies held a 37-33 lead at the break, but then allowed Olivier-Maxence Prosper and his mates to outscore them 49-39 in the second half and log the 6-point win. Though Connecticut shot 48 percent from the field, Marquette answered with a 51 percent showing of their own and did a better job from the charity stripe where it was allotted four more throws. One area the Huskies dominated however came on the glass in outboarding the Golden Eagles 34-21 with 14 of those caroms of the offensive variety. The home team still holds an enormous rebounding advantage at both ends of the court, and I fully expect Jordan Hawkins and Co. to take full advantage of it by evening the season rivalry with a margin win.

Maryland Terrapins vs. Michigan State Spartans
Date and Time: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 6:30 PM EST
Location: Breslin Center, East Lansing, MI
TV Coverage: ESPN2
This looks to be a tremendous letdown spot for the Terps with it invading the Breslin Center winners of four straight and Sparty licking its wounds after suffering back-to-back losses to Purdue and Rutgers on the road. Forget that noise – in Jahmir Young and Donta Scott we trust! Maryland is once again playing to the best of its abilities with it a hard-fought loss at the Boilermakers away from entering this tilt winners of six straight both SU and against the CBB odds. All this since getting their collective salad tossed on the road by Michigan, Rutgers, and Iowa. Since then, they’ve covered a 9-point spread in a 58-55 loss at Purdue and then just skunked Minnesota 81-46 in its two most recent played games away from the Xfinity Center.
Though MSU has been much better at home in B1G play logging wins against Nebraska, Michigan, Rutgers, and Iowa, I’m just not buying into Tom Izzo’s kids this season. These teams rate out incredibly well against one another at both ends of the court. However, the Spartans inability to hinder the Terps possession of the ball (No. 347) and inability to get to the charity stripe (No. 332) leads me to believe they’ll have a tough time covering the short chalk let alone win the game outright. Maryland is firing on all cylinders right now and I give them a high percentage chance of extending their win streak when this one’s said and done.
BET THE TERRAPINS
Nevada Wolf Pack vs. New Mexico Lobos
Date and Time: Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10:30 PM EST
Location: The Pit, Albuquerque, NM
TV Coverage: FS1
After last week, I want absolutely nothing to do with fading any home team of the MWC elite. I tried my hand at betting against both Nevada and Utah State last week and my bankroll suffered because of it. One of those spots happened to involve the Lobos who never stood a chance in last Wednesday night’s trek to Logan where the Aggies shot 46 percent from the field and nearly doubled the Lobos up in shot attempts from the charity stripe (31-16). It also didn’t help that they knocked down 27 of them!
Regardless, this is the spot to back UNM in its revenge bout with a Nevada squad it took to overtime when the team’s hooked up in Reno back on January 23. The Wolf Pack escaped with the 97-94 double-OT win by way of forcing 16 New Mexico turnovers and taking advantage of a bit of home cooking. Still, it lost the battle of the boards 35-29 and allowed Jamal Mashburn Jr. and his mates to convert at a 54 percent clip from the field. If UNM was able to shoot the lights out like that on the road against KenPom’s No. 42 ranked defense, I can’t wait to see what they do to it in “The Pit!” Nevada has been a completely different animal at home (13-0) as opposed to the road (5-6) while the Lobos stand 15-0 SU and 8-5-1 ATS as hosts. Though they failed to cover the last two in front of the hometown faithful, I got them running away and hiding in this one having had nearly a week to reminisce about that loss in Logan.
