Thursday NHL Parlay Picks

There are seven games to consider for Thursday NHL parlay picks including the nationally televised game on ESPN between the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning. It is a rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup Finals that the Avalanche won in six games. There are some other intriguing matchups on Thursday, as two of the top teams go at it when the Seattle Kraken visit the New Jersey Devils. The Kraken are tied for the lead in the Pacific Division, while the Devils are in second in the Metropolitan. Not to be forgotten is an interesting matchup in Minnesota, as Marc-Andre Fleury and the Wild face Fleury’s former team, the Vegas Golden Knights. Let’s look at Thursday’s NHL parlay picks.

Thursday NHL Parlay Teams

Seattle Kraken

It is shocking to see how well the Kraken have played this season and you might not even realize they have been better on the road than at home. They played at the Islanders on Tuesday and now have the Devils on Thursday night. Seattle went into the game at the Isles with a 16-5-2 record on the road. Their 16 road wins is the most of any Western Conference team. Seattle is starting to get the attention of the oddsmakers, and it would be hard to ignore the Kraken considering how well they have been playing. New Jersey is definitely a good team, but they haven’t played nearly as well at home as on the road. They are just 14-10-2 at home. Taking quality teams on the road at a plus price is also attractive and it definitely helps the price on NHL parlays. New York Islanders

The Islanders are battling for a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference so every game is critical. They will host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night, as Bo Horvat faces his former team. There will definitely be some emotions for Horvat who will want to play well in this one. The Islanders are the superior team and they should get the home win and it would not be surprising at all to see Horvat score against his former team. That could be a prop worth considering if you can find a sportsbook that posts odds on it. The Canucks played with a lot of heart in Jersey on Monday and lost in overtime. They had to play the Rangers on Wednesday night and now have the Islanders on Thursday. It is a tough back-to-back and it is three games in four nights for the Canucks. Vancouver definitely has their work cut out for them in this contest. It is probably a good thing we started off the parlay with an underdog because we are laying the wood with the next two games. The price is going to be high on New York, but it is hard to see anything other than a win for the Islanders on Thursday.

Edmonton Oilers

We’ll wrap things up on Thursday night with the Oilers visiting the Flyers. The Oilers are another team battling for a playoff spot and they need every win they can get. They sure can’t afford to be losing to a struggling team like the Flyers. And the Oilers have actually been better on the road than at home. Edmonton played in Detroit on Tuesday and then had Wednesday off. The Oilers were 15-7-1 on the road before the game against the Red Wings, so the time to bet on Edmonton is when they are on the road. The Flyers have played hard for head coach John Tortorella but they are not on the level of the Oilers. Philly also hasn’t been that great at home as they are 10-13-2. These two teams last played in Philadelphia in March of last season and it was the Oilers coming away with a 3-0 win. It is always a little risky backing the Oilers but they are the superior team and they should get this road win.
