The Genesis Invitational Matchup Picks
February 15, 2023Boxing Picks – Leigh Wood vs. Mauricio Lara
February 15, 2023Betting on the National Hockey League isn’t as popular as other sports around the globe. Once you figure out the nuances of wagering on the coolest game there is money to be won. And a better way to increase the amount of winnings is on a multi-team parlay. We have a good slate of games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16 with three of four division leaders taking the ice. The Boston Bruins have been the best team in the league since the puck dropped on the season with only eight regulation losses in their first 52 games. They visit Nashville on Thursday. The Vegas Golden Knights look to hold on to the top spot in the Pacific Division with a matchup against the San Jose Sharks, a team they’ve dominated in recent years winning 12 of the last 14 meetings. Metropolitan Division leading Carolina is also in action hosting the Montreal Canadiens. Let’s take a look at some winning NHL picks to include on your parlay. You can play NHL parlays at BetRivers sportsbook.
Thursday NHL Parlay Picks
Boston Bruins at Nashville Predators
The Bruins lose. They just don’t lose that much. Boston was on pace to break NHL records for wins and points until a mini-slide set them back. A 2-1 loss to Washington on Saturday dropped them to 1-3-1 in their last five games and they finish off a stretch where they play seven of eight games on the road against the Preds. We figured the Bruins would be good with the core of players they have like Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy, but what they’ve accomplished is I’m sure beyond their comprehension. While we get later in the season and teams like Nashville become more desperate fighting for a postseason slot, the games will get more intense. The Preds are a tougher team at home where they play a tighter game. With that said there are options for NHL picks and parlays backing the home team on the puck line and the UNDER.
NHL Parlay Pick: Predators PL / UNDER
Winnipeg Jets at Columbus Blue Jackets
There have been a number of surprise teams this season with one of them stationed in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Entering the week the Winnipeg Jets have the most wins of any Western Conference team yet remain a few points behind Dallas for the top spot in the Central. They have yet to play a shootout and have just one extra time loss on their docket. And their 33 wins are three more than the team ahead of them. They have proficient scorers in Mark Scheifele, Kyle Conner and Pierre-Luc Dubois, a Norris Trophy candidate in Josh Morrissey and solid netminding from Connor Hellebuyck. In other words they are a well-balanced club that keeps the puck out of their net. And facing the struggling Blue Jackets, though on the road, shouldn’t be a huge issue.
NHL Parlay Pick: Jets PL
New Jersey Devils at St. Louis Blues
The purge in St. Louis started with the club trading Vladimir Tarasenko to the Blueshirts, a sign that things are starting to change. This is far from the club that rallied to win the Stanley Cup a few years ago and the Blues are just 11-12-2 at home after losing four times during a recent 7-game homestand. They’ve been unable to generate much offense ranking in the bottom third in goals per game and the defense is worse allowing an average of 3.6 goals. Jordan Binnington may have worn out his welcome but the Blues have nowhere to turn in net. And while they won’t face Devils star Jack Hughes, who is out with an upper body injury, they face a tough task taking down the best road team in the NHL. The offense will suffer without Hughes, who had 67 points in 50 games before being shelved. Jersey does boast a strong defense, though, ranked among the top-5 in goals and shots against. And the Devils are an astounding 19-3-3 in away games with a strong group of complementary scorers.
NHL Parlay Pick: Devils ML
