Valspar Championship Matchup Picks
March 15, 2023XFL Betting – Week 5 Parlay Picks
March 15, 2023LIV Golf heads to Tucson this week where Cameron Smith is listed as the golf betting favorite. This will be the second event of the 2023 LIV Golf season and it was a big underdog winning the first event, as Charles Howell III shocked everyone and won in Mayakoba. It has been a mixture of favorites and underdogs in past LIV Golf events and longshots have definitely been worth considering. We’ll definitely consider the favorite this week and also look for some value in terms of LIV Golf picks.
Venue: The Gallery Golf Club (South) in Marana, Arizona is a par 71 that measures 7,469 yards. It is considered one of the top 100 courses in the United States by Golf Digest. The South Course has large fairways and mounded greens.

Cameron Smith +900
I normally don’t back the favorite in golf betting but we haven’t seen enough of the LIV Golf Tour to really know if favorites are always a losing proposition. I almost never take favorites on the PGA Tour, but with LIV Golf we only have 48 players in the field and some of them have very little chance to contend. I think Smith is worth playing this week, as he is by far the top ranked player in the field and he may want to send a message in advance of the Masters.
Value Picks
Paul Casey +1200
Case played his college golf at Arizona State so he is very familiar with desert golf. He also lives in the state, so he has played many times in Tucson. He played well last time out with a fourth at Mayakoba. I will go with Casey as one of my top golf picks this week.
Talor Gooch +1600
I don’t think Gooch played up to his potential in Mayakoba and he was still in the mix. He has been driving the ball well and hitting his irons well, but his putter has been a bit cold. If he gets it going this week, I think he has a decent chance to win and we get 16-1 golf betting odds at top online sportsbooks.
Peter Uihlein +2800
There is a ton of value on Uihlein who is getting close to a win. He has three runner-up finishes in the last four LIV Golf regular events. Keep in mind that Uihlein nearly won in the desert of Juddah last year. I will take a shot with him at odds of 28-1.
Brooks Koepka +3500
We know that Kopeka excels in the desert, as he has two wins in Phoenix and he won last year’s LIV event in Jeddah. I know that Koepka has not been close to winning of late, but his past desert history can’t be ignored and we sure get a big price on him this week at odds of 35-1.
Phil Mickelson +16000
I know that Mickelson hasn’t looked anything like the player he used to be, but he actually played really well in the final round at Mayakoba and there is no denying Phil loves playing in the desert. I don’t throw many huge bombs in there, but we just need to hit one to make the entire year worthwhile and Phil is not without a chance at odds of 160-1.
