LIV Orlando Picks
March 29, 2023NHL Picks – Friday ESPN+ Doubleheader Has Playoff Implications!
March 29, 2023I still had my doubts about the DC Defenders prior to their Week 6 matchup with the Houston Roughnecks. They did a good job of convincing me they are the best by remaining undefeated with a 37-26 win, handing Houston its second straight loss after opening the XFL campaign with four consecutive wins. I felt so strongly about Houston’s top ranked defense that I backed them as a 2.5-point dog only to have them slap me with my only football parlay pick loss of the week. Though I didn’t cash a winning ticket at BetRivers sportsbook I had one of the best weeks of the season with wins in my other two wagers. So I guess there is hope that a multi-team XFL parlay winner is out there and I’m trying my darndest to get it.
DC is rolling and so are the Seattle Sea Dragons, who won their fourth straight and kept Orlando winless with a 26-19 triumph. Seattle opens the Week 7 betting week on Friday at Arlington as a 5-point favorite on the opening XFL betting line. For the fifth consecutive game the Orlando Guardians are catching at least 7.5 points this time as a 9.5-point dog to DC. Orlando earned its second straight payout and is 3-1 ATS in its last four games. However, they’ve yet to win a game outright and have yet to play as a favorite on the XFL betting line at BetRivers sportsbook.
Week 7 XFL Parlay Picks
DC picked apart the league’s best overall and scoring defense for 356 yards in its Monday night victory. The Defenders remain perfect at 6-0 SU and ATS while also cashing the OVER in four straight games. They were also the only home team to win a game last week. Orlando was close once again but came up empty. The Guardians are catching 9.5-points on the opening line, matching their mark for the largest spread this season. They covered in the two previous games losing 10-9 to Arlington in Week 3 and 26-19 to Seattle last weekend. Now let’s see if we can make some money on our Week 7 XFL picks and parlays.
Seattle Sea Dragons at Arlington Renegades
After scoring 22 points in their opener the Renegades’ offense has gone MIA. Over the last five games they’re averaging just 11.2 points and haven’t scored more than 14 in any of them. They actually won two of those games thanks to their defense, but Seattle boasts the top ranked offense averaging 338.3 yards and is fourth averaging 21.3 points. It was a down week for Ben DiNucci and Co. last week yet the Sea Dragons still prevailed 26-19 over Orlando. DiNucci threw for 177 yards and the club totaled 252 yards. Seattle has been sneaky good on defense allowing the third fewest points and fourth fewest yards. Slowing down Arlington’s pop-gun attack shouldn’t be a problem allowing Seattle to cover the 5-point betting line.
XFL Parlay Pick: Seattle -5
DC Defenders at Orlando Guardians
Okay, I’ll say it. The Defenders are the best team in the XFL. They proved it on Monday night with an impressive 37-26 win over Houston showing off all their offensive weapons while also getting a pick-six from Santos Ramirez as part of a 26-0 spurt that wiped out an early 8-0 deficit. A week after going for over 200 yards on the ground, Abram Smith collected 95 and a TD on 19 carries and Jordan Ta’amu threw for 245 yards and a pair of scores. After dismantling the best defense in the league, the Defenders get the group that’s allowed the most points. Orlando’s been close in recent games with three of their past four setbacks by seven points or less. And they need to value the football and take advantage of their opportunities against DC’s defense that allows more than 311 yards and nearly 20 points.
XFL Parlay Pick: OVER 43.5
St. Louis Battlehawks at Houston Roughnecks
With their lead in the South Division sliced to just one game, Houston looks to get back in the win column in this interdivision game with the St. Louis Battlehawks. With their final three games at home this becomes a big deal for St. Louis, currently tied with Seattle for second in the North. In games against teams other than DC, St. Louis is 4-0 SU and ATS. A.J. McCarron had a big day against Vegas throwing for 236 yards and three scores and the Battlehawks have been efficient behind the veteran all season. We saw another vet torch Houston’s now vulnerable defense last week and McCarron could have the same success leading me to back the visitors and the points as my XFL pick against the spread in this matchup.
XFL Parlay Pick: St. Louis +3
