With a prop bet market overflowing with betting options, the 2023 NFL Draft has become more popular with fans across the country. It’s been a few months since the betting public had a NFL event to wager on so many of those folks are chomping at the bit. While it’s not the Super Bowl, it’s still an exciting time for teams and their faithful.
There are so many NFL betting props that we spent time on numerous articles hitting some of the more popular players available and bets that coincide with those players. And the fun will continue until draft day takes place on Friday. And as a reminder to everyone the markets are volatile with new information surfacing nearly every day changing NFL odds. 2023 NFL Draft
The first round of the draft is set to take place in Kansas City on Thursday, April 27 at 8 p.m. ET. Rounds two and three are set for Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m. ET with rounds four through seven on Saturday, April 29 starting at Noon ET. The entire draft will be televised on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.

We’ve already touched on a number of more popular prop bets and players getting the most attention from the media. That’s something that can be revisited as we get closer to draft day since odds change almost daily. We also talked about the NCAA’s influence on the draft and in particular the Power 5 conferences. Since schools competing in those leagues have the best teams it makes sense that they send the most players to the NFL. Alabama in particular has been a feeder lifting the SEC to the top of the list of conferences that send the most players to the pro ranks. We talked about the SEC and Big Ten in a recent article now let’s discuss the other leagues that make up the Power 5.
Number of ACC Players in First Round of 2023 NFL Draft

As Clemson goes so goes the ACC, that’s kinda been the case over the last decade or so given the amount of success Dabo’s group has had. The Tigers went 11-2 last season and won the ACC championship, but in a way the season was a failure since the Tigers didn’t reach the College Football Playoff. And many considered the group to have less talent than what we’ve seen in the past. It’s widely considered that Clemson EDGE Myles Murphy and Boston College WR Zay Flowers will be off the board on the first day. They are listed in most mock drafts as middle to late round selections. So, where do the two other players come from that put the OVER as a -160 favorite? That’s a good question. Everyone else who can help cash the OVER can just as easily, and more than likely, slip to the second round. Trenton Simpson and Bryan Bresee can make the difference, but given that we’re talking about them late in the first round it makes absolute sense to bet the UNDER at the current NFL odds price.
Number of Big 12 Players in First Round of 2023 NFL Draft

The number of Big 12 players expected to go in the first round is the same as the ACC, but the NFL odds are much different. With -320 juice on the OVER you better make damn sure you feel good about the picks. Not only will there be trades but trades with teams looking to upgrade certain positions. And as we mentioned before there is one fewer first round pick since the Dolphins forfeited their selection. We’re confident Tyree Wilson and Bijan Robinson get picked on Friday and TCU receiver Quentin Johnston is a sleeper. Everything has to go right in order for the league to have four players picked with as many as five players viewed as possible first round candidates. As much as I would like to take the UNDER at its price there are too many options, and besides not every player in the first round is coming from the SEC. It only seems like it.
