April 21, 2023NBA Playoff Picks for Tuesday, April 25, 2023
April 24, 2023As we get closer to draft day things will get more interesting in terms of odds on NFL betting props. The NFL Draft is one time bettors have an upperhand on oddsmakers or at least have equal footing when it comes to action. In the weeks leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft there were plenty of odds swings on some of the more popular props. The most interesting movement came in the first overall pick prop. Bryce Young opened as the favorite but was displaced by C.J. Stroud shortly after the Carolina Panthers swung a deal to acquire the No. 1 pick. However, without doing anything the market shifted back in favor of Young, who is now a substantial favorite to be the first player off the board.
A general theme we’re hearing from sportsbooks is that it’s a volatile market. A shift in odds, especially with the more notable players and props, is reactionary. Nobody really has the scoop on what’s going down and everybody from bettors to oddsmakers has access to the same information. We can use that knowledge to make a more calculated wager and hopefully win some coin on NFL odds at BetRivers sportsbook.

2023 NFL Draft Props
We covered a lot of props over the last few weeks but keep in mind odds change quite often. That’s why it’s always good to visit BetRivers for the latest updated odds. In addition new props can hit the board and others will come off if sportsbooks feel the action is one-sided. We’ll visit a market that’s still up and fairly big. And it’s something different from previous articles. Instead of betting the draft position of certain players or the over/under on position groups selected in the first round, how about a wager on where players will begin their NFL careers. Sure enough, we can bet on which team will draft a specific player. Let’s dive into some of the more interesting NFL betting props and keep in mind the market is much larger than what’s mentioned here.
Team to Select Bijan Robinson in 2023 NFL Draft
Atlanta +250
Houston +750
Philadelphia +750
Washington +850
Dallas +1000
Chicago +1400
I opted for Robinson first for a few reasons. He’s the best running back in the draft class and most experts expect him to go in the first round. But what team uses a top pick to get him? Running backs aren’t in high demand these days, even someone as special as Robinson. The Falcons are the favorite to land Robinson, and it makes sense. The team needs playmakers on offense and Robinson certainly is that. Atlanta needs more, though, and with the eighth pick there are other serious needs that can be addressed. The same goes for Chicago at No. 9 even though the Bears lost leading rusher David Montgomery. In a good spot to take Robinson and with a need following the loss of Miles Sanders is Philadelphia. Historically the Eagles haven’t valued running backs and they have needs on defense after the loss of several starters. There’s always the chance a team further down the odds board swoops in and takes a talent like Robinson with Tampa Bay an enticing option. In need of a running game and with the 19th pick, the Bucs at +4000 have plenty of value.
Team to Select Hendon Hooker in 2023 NFL Draft
Minnesota +500
Las Vegas +600
Tennessee +600
Seattle +850
Detroit +1000
New England +1200
Washington +1200
Tampa Bay +1200
Originally an afterthought in the QB draft market, Hooker has gained some steam leading up to the draft with many experts now predicting him to be a first-rounder. It’s just another sign of market volatility. There is some risk with Hooker most notably his age and the fact he’s coming off a serious knee injury. The team drafting him needs patience since he probably won’t make an impact until 2024 at the earliest. Still there are teams willing to invest with Minnesota highest on the list. The Vikings could groom Hooker for the starting job in a few years as could the Raiders, but I don’t think Vegas is using the No. 7 pick on him. Staying in Tennessee would be a boost for the Titans, who are in need of a QB. If he goes in the first round it won’t come until late giving teams like Washington and Seattle hope. With an earlier first round pick the Seahawks look like a good fit and can take their time since Geno Smith is already signed for 2023.
