MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, June 7
June 5, 2023Puerto Rico Mobile Sports Betting
June 6, 2023It looks like we have a series on our hands. Though it didn’t come in Game 1 of the NBA Finals like in their previous series, the Miami Heat did to the Denver Nuggets exactly what they did to three other teams they eliminated to get here. As the No. 8 seed the Heat have to win at least one game on the road to win the series and they got what they needed taking Game 2, 111-108, to steal homecourt advantage. Game 3 will be held in Miami on Wednesday with the Nuggets a slight 2.5-point favorite on the NBA betting line at BetRivers sportsbook. Shocked over losing at home for the first time this postseason and the first time overall since Mar. 30, the Nuggets won their last three road games, but they are just 4-3 away from home this postseason.

Denver Nuggets at Miami Heat
Nobody said winning their first NBA title was going to be easy. And I know the Nuggets didn’t expect that. But they looked good for three quarters in Game 2 before falling apart in the fourth losing at home for the first time this postseason. I did have Nikola Jokic going over his point total on one of my same-game NBA parlay picks and he easily did that scoring a game-high 41. With 68 points scored in the first two games it looks as the Jokic can have whatever he wants against Miami’s defense. It also helps that he’s shooting 60 percent from the floor.
Unfortunately I had the Nuggets winning as a NBA pick against the spread in Game 2. They closed as an 8-point favorite but failed to execute in the fourth quarter allowing the Heat to overcome an 8-point deficit entering the final frame. The Nuggets led by as many as 15 points which would indicate another win for them. They were 11-0 this postseason when leading by 10 or more points at any point in a game. I do like the Nuggets to rebound after a solid effort in Game 1. They were scolded by coach Michal Malone for a lack of defense, especially in the fourth quarter, and the message was received.
Jokic got his points in Game 2 and can seemingly do whatever he wants. And that’s apparently fine with Miami after the Heat elected to smother Jamal Murray on Sunday. A slight change in the rotation but a significant one nonetheless allowed Jimmy Butler to defend Murray. Miami went with a bigger lineup at the start of Game 2 inserting Kevin Love into the lineup. You might think expending energy defending Murray would limit Butler offensively, and to some degree it did. Buckets was just 7 of 19 shooting for 21 points.
Butler hasn’t exceeded his point total in the past five games and with that number hovering around 25.5 the likelihood of that happening on Wednesday seems slim. Besides, Butler doesn’t need to score 35 points a night for the Heat to win. They aren’t an explosive team offensively but they are diverse, which makes them dangerous as a NBA game pick. Gabe Vincent (23) and Bam Adebayo (21) joined Butler in reaching the 20-point mark.
A good indication of how things change from game to game was the performance of Max Strus and Duncan Robinson. After missing all 10 shots (9 threes) in Game 1, Strus was 4 of 10 from deep scoring 14 points. Robinson added 10 points all in the fourth quarter on 4 of 5 shooting. Both teams shot the basketball well on Sunday with the Nuggets hitting 52 percent of their shots and the Heat connecting on 48.7 percent, making the OVER a winner as a NBA odds pick.
The OVER is 6-1 in the last seven meetings between the clubs with total set relatively low each time. The total for Game 3 hit the NBA betting board at BetRivers at 214.5, which is less than what we saw in either of the first two games. Even if the teams don’t shoot the ball as accurately as they did in Game 2 there’s a strong possibility the OVER is a winner again.
NBA Playoff Same Game Parlay Pick: Denver Nuggets -2.5 / OVER 214.5
