June 13, 2023My MLB Same Game Parlays went 2-1 last Tuesday night. Jesus Luzardo and the Marlins logged the 6-1 win to propel us to easy cashes on the over of his K prop paired with the Marlins run-line and the over of their team total. The over between the D’backs and Nats proved to be a no sweat waltz back to the ticket counter to cash our SGP in with the over of both team’s totals also coming in with ease. We looked golden early on in Cleveland, but the pitcher’s duel went sideways soon after with “The Big Maple” exceeding his K prop in the fifth and Bieber coming an out short of going over his pitching outs prop. Then six combined runs were scored in the eighth to squash our position on the under. A winning night nonetheless! Let’s remain in the black over at BetRivers Sportsbook with tonight’s assortment of parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Cincinnati Reds vs. Kansas City Royals
The Reds have come up big for us a number of times this season. Most recently, they just two of three from the Cardinals in Busch to cash a near 2-1 series ticket! They entered this series with the Royals four-games under .500 and just four-games in back of the Pirates for the division lead. The NL Central is wide open my friends and I truly believe David Bell’s squad has what it takes to come out of the basement and snatch the catbird seat come the regular season’s end; +850 at BetRivers and falling, Jus’ Sayn’!
For that to actually occur, Elly De La Cruz and co. must take advantage of matchups like this regardless of whether they take place in the GAB or on the road. That’s how division pennants are won! We backed Cincy in the series opener, but will instead look to the total for the second game with an uninspiring starting pitching matchup set to go down between Brandon Williamson and Jordan Lyles. The former is the owner of a 5.40 ERA and even uglier 6.20 FIP while serving up 2.0 home runs and 4.4 walks per nine innings. The latter is 0-10 with a 6.84 ERA that’s been fattened up by the righty’s inability to keep the ball in the yard (2.2/9). Look for both offenses to enjoy tonight’s BP session!

Washington Nationals vs. Houston Astros
The Jake Irvin fade has proven to be the gift that refuses to stop giving. I’ll test this moneymaking trend once again on Tuesday night when the rookie squares off against the Houston Astros for the first time in his career. Though his three-game streak of conceding at least 1 HR came to an end last time out against Arizona, the right-hander has served up at least 3 ER in five of his last six starts.
Irvin’s biggest obstacle to date has been serving up free passes evidenced by his 5.8 BB/9 and piss-poor 1.15 K/BB average. I get that the ‘Stros rank in the bottom third of the league in walk rate overall (No. 24), but they’ve been their best taking free passes at home (9.2%). I also get that Yordan Alvarez’s big bat won’t be in the lineup. Even so, we mustn’t show any reserve when it comes to the “Irvin Fade.” He’s served up an average of 4.4 ER in his last five starts and that deserves to be faded at all costs until he shows any inkling of turning it around.

Miami Marlins vs. Seattle Mariners
Edward Cabrera has been pitching like a man possessed since the calendar turned to June with the righty only allowing 1 ER and six hits with a 14:3 K/BB ratio through 11 total innings. However, those outings came against the weak-hitting Royals and A’s. While Julio Rodriguez and his mates have failed to live up to offensive expectations to this point of the baseball betting season, Cabrera should prove to be a solid matchup with the M’s possessing some gaudy run values against the 4-seamer per Baseball Savant. If his off-speed stuff can’t find the zone, it’s going to be a long night for No. 27 who left his most recent start early with a blister. He’s walking 5+ per nine and Seattle ranks No. 11 in walk rate!
Making this an even more attractive spot to back Seattle is the chip on the shoulder George Kirby will take the hill with after getting wrecked by the Padres and failing to pitch through the fourth inning last time out. I’m a huge fan of what the second-year hurler brings to the table with the righty in possession of impeccable command (0.7 BB/9) while throwing strikes 71 percent of the time. Though Miami has been one of the tougher teams in MLB to send down via the strikeout, I think this spot will be of the HAM variety for Seattle’s staff ace. Yup, I said it! We’ll go F5 instead of FG with the Fish routinely getting off on cutting my throat in the ninth. I’ve been on the other side of their last three ninth inning comeback wins!
