Denver Broncos Season Win Total Odds, Pick & Prediction
July 12, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Friday, July 14
July 13, 2023It is the lead up to the Open Championship this week with the Genesis Scottish Open in Scotland. The Renaissance Club, which is a links course, will play host to the tournament. Xander Schauffele won this event last year when the weather was a major factor. The weather could impact the event this weekend, especially on Sunday when rain and wind are in the forecast. Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the top two betting choices at BetRivers. I am coming off an excellent 5-1 week with the matchups at the John Deere Classic. Let’s look at Genesis Scottish Open matchup picks.
Defending Champion: Xander Schauffele
Tournament Notes: The Renaissance Club is a good lead in to next week’s Oen Championship at Royal Liverpool in England. The Renaissance Club is located next to the Firth of Forth so that means wind will be a major factor. The early forecast for Sunday has wind gusts that could be 30 mph or more. The course is a par 70 that can extend to nearly 7,300 yards.

Davis, Cameron -145 vs. Olesen, Thorbjorn
Pan, C.T. -125 vs. Jamieson, Scott
Hovland, Viktor -115 vs. Fowler, Rickie
Hovland missed the cut in this event a year ago, but he is a better player this year and his game is in fine form. Fowler is having a good season but he got his win in Detroit so I don’t know how focused he will be this week. I’ll take Hovland in this matchup.
Fleetwood, Tommy -114 vs. Spieth, Jordan
Fleetwood is still looking for his first PGA Tour win. He has won six times on the DP World Tour and he has played well in this event in the past as he lost in a playoff in 2020 and he tied for fourth last year. I have no idea from week to week what to expect from Spieth. I’ll take Fleetwood in this matchup.
Rai, Aaron -195 vs. Donald, Luke
I am not surprised at the price on this matchup at all. Rai has won this event in the past and he ranks inside the Top 15 on the PGA Tour in fairways hit and GIR. Donald is well past his prime and he will do well just to make the cut. I’ll take Rai in this matchup.
Min Woo Lee -120 vs. Burns, Sam
Lee won this event a couple of years ago and then missed the cut last year. He is still just 24 years old and he is playing well with four top 20 finishes worldwide since the PGA Championship. Burns has definitely slumped this year, as he is no longer the automatic high finisher he used to be. I’ll take Lee in this matchup.
Clark, Wyndham -120 vs. Homa, Max
Clark won the U.S. Open and also finished in a tie for 29th at the Travelers. He has had a week off to rest and he played well in this event a year ago with a tie for 16th. Homa is kind of like Burns in that he hasn’t played nearly as well this year as he did a year ago. I’ll take Clark in this matchup.
