MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Thursday, July 27
July 26, 2023UFC Odds – UFC 291: Poirier vs. Gathje 2
July 27, 2023The next to last event before the FedExCup Playoffs begin in two weeks is this week’s 3M Open in Minnesota. Defending champion Tony Finau is listed as the favorite at BetRivers. There are not many top players in the field this week, as the most recognizable names are Finau, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Sungjae Im, and Hideki Matsuyama. For those players on the playoff bubble, this week and next week are huge, as only the top 70 players in FedExCup points qualify for the playoffs. I am coming off a 1-3-1 week with the matchups at the Open Championship. Let’s look to get back on track this week with 3M Open matchup picks.
Defending Champion: Tony Finau
Tournament Notes: It is going to be hot in the Twin Cities this week, so players who are in good shape and can handle the heat should do well. The course is long at 7,431 yards, but accuracy will also be important, as the rough this week has grown long. The course isn’t that difficult, so scoring should be good, although the finishing par 5 18th is difficult. In fact, it was the toughest par 5 on the PGA Tour a year ago.

Spaun, J.J. -120 vs. Cole, Eric
Woodland, Gary -115 vs. Hadwin, Adam
Glover, Lucas +104 vs. Hossler, Beau
I am surprised that Glover is listed as the underdog in this matchup. What has Hossler done in his career to deserve being favored? I wrote about Glover in the odds picks article, as I think he can contend for the win this week. I’ll take him at plus money in this matchup.
Hoge, Tom -110 vs. Hodges, Lee
Hoge is long off the tee and he should do well in this event. He played well a year ago at TPC Twin Cities, finishing in a tie for fourth. He played well at the Scottish Open, finishing in a tie for 19th. I’ll take Hoge in this matchup against Hodges.
Aberg, Ludvig -125 vs. Davis, Cameron
Aberg didn’t have any success in the Genesis Scottish Open, but his game should translate well to TPC Twin Cities. Aberg is a young star who may win sooner rather than later. I’ll lay the small price and take him in this matchup against Davis.
Fox, Ryan -115 vs. Jaeger, Stephan
Fox bombs it off the tee and he is also a good putter and those two skills should play really well at TPC Twin Cities. Fox has played well this season with a number of Top 25 finishes and it could be that this week he improves his results and breaks into the Top 10. I’ll take him in this matchup against Jaeger.
Hadwin, Adam -115 vs. Woodland, Gary
Hadwin lost in a playoff at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and then went out and missed the cut at the John Deere. He has rested since that missed cut and the rest should do him well. He has played well at the 3M Open in the past with a fourth-place finish in 2019 and a tie for 6th in 2021. Woodland hasn’t played well in a long time and despite his length off the tee, it is hard to see him turning things around this week. I’ll take Hadwin in this matchup.
