Minnesota Vikings Season Win Total Odds, Pick & Prediction
July 27, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, July 29
July 28, 2023Last Friday’s MLB Same Game Parlays didn’t work out well for us over at PointsBet Sportsbook. We failed to cash a single parlay with the SGP involving the Marlins cancelled due to Connor Seabold getting scratched. I despise when a first five under fails to cash but the full game under comes in, and that’s exactly what occurred between the Cardinals and Cubs. Andrew Heaney got rocked by the Dodgers in the nightcap. Here’s to kicking the weekend off right with some winning parlay picks – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Houston Astros
So what’s the lesser of two evils when dissecting this crucial series opener between the Rays and Astros? Tampa Bay has been wilting right before our eyes since the calendar turned to July, and has been unable to log wins with staff ace Shane McClanahan on the bump in his two turns since returning from the IL. I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out what went wrong in his last outing at home against Baltimore. He was cruising then all of a sudden gave up 5 ER with two outs in the top of the fourth! On the flipside, Cristian Javier has been nothing short of deplorable going as far back as the beginning of June. The right-hander last earned a dub back on June 3. Since then, he’s served up 38 hits (5 HR) and 27 ER with a 22:17 K/BB ratio over his last seven starts. He just took a loss against Oakland of all teams! That being said, he’s looked better in his last two starts with the strikeout once again returning to his arsenal. With both hurlers looking to bounce back and being backed up by two of the finest bullpens in the game, I think we got a sneaky pitcher’s duel in the making and will attack the baseball odds with that frame of mind in the opener.

Seattle Mariners vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
Things look to be turning around for the Mariners who kicked their current six-game road trip off with a solid series win at Target Field against the Twins; at least they were up 8-4 in the bottom of the sixth at the time of this writing. Now two games over .500 for the season and looking to get back in both the AL West and wild-card races, I fully expect Seattle to be way up for the first game of this interleague set against a D’backs squad that looks to be running out of steam. Torey Lovullo’s troops already conceded top honors in the NL West to the Dodgers with only a surprising series win against Atlanta to show for their work since the All-Star break. A tough assignment awaits in the form of Logan Gilbert in the series opener with the M’s rising young right-hander leading the team to wins in four straight games of which he logged the dub three times. Gilbert has shown a knack for bouncing back in a big way after getting lit up his previous start. Case in point the complete game shutout thrown in San Francisco a start removed from getting shelled by the Nats in an embarrassing 4-1 home loss. Tommy Henry has been on my MLB odds fade list all season, and he’s added to the bottom line throughout July taking losses in his last two turns. Look for the Mariners to set the tone of this series early by taking the opener in style!

Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The litmus test of all litmus tests awaits the Reds this weekend when they invade Tinseltown looking to make a statement against a Dodgers squad that’s installed one of the favorites at PointsBet Sportsbook (+200) to represent the NL in the Fall Classic come October. While I give Matt McClain and co. an excellent shot at taking this series down, I don’t think they get out to the series lead in the opener with Brandon Williamson set to square off against Bobby Miller. The former looks to have turned a corner in the month of July in allowing 11 hits and 5 ER with a 17:6 K/BB ratio through 20 total innings over four starts, but Freddie Freeman and his mates will be a tough nut to crack. They already got to him for six hits (3 HR) and 6 ER when they saw his stuff back in early June. The road (4.95 ERA) and night (5.44 ERA) haven’t treated the lefty kindly, and Los Angeles rakes LHP for 5.0 runs per game (No. 11). Miller’s logged quality starts in three of his last four starts, and gets the benefit of Cincinnati never seeing his stuff before. Advantage home team!
