MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Saturday, July 29
July 28, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Monday, July 31
July 28, 2023We only cashed one of last Sunday’s three MLB Same Game Parlays at PointsBet Sportsbook to close the week in a miserable fashion. While the Royals and Yankees kicked the day off with a late-game barrage that saw the overs cash across the board, we didn’t incur the same luck in the Braves/Brewers matchup with Bryce Elder and Julio Teheran shockingly keeping the bats in check. We then lost a SGP we had no business dropping after the White Sox gave up three in the bottom of the ninth and then lost in extras to the Twins pushing the combined score over the total ultimately killing my take on what should’ve been a dominant pitcher’s duel. Let’s close the week in the green with some more parlay pick winners – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Detroit Tigers vs. Miami Marlins
We hammered the Tigers earlier in the week against the San Francisco Giants with Tarik Skubal on the bump in one of the best situational spots of the MLB betting season. Detroit’s right-hander came through for us with his most impressive showing of the year, and I think the effort will serve as a springboard for plenty more moneymaking opportunities the remainder of the year. One of them will go down in LoanDepot on Sunday afternoon when he’s paired up with Jesus Luzardo in arguably the best pitching matchup on the docket. With both offenses struggling mightily to plate runs over the last week with Detroit averaging 3.9 RPG (No. 20) and the Marlins 3.0 (No. 27), I firmly expect both arms to shine en route to going deep into the game. Though Miami ranks No. 8 in K rate, a bulk of the lineup has never seen his stuff. The few that have own a collective .174 batting average against the strikeout artist in just 24 at-bats. Luzardo has only given up 7 ER in his last seven starts. Because of it, he’s entered the NL Cy Young Award discussion as I suggested before the season even started. Initially a 100-1 choice, PointsBet currently has him lined 16-1 only behind the likes of Gallen, Strider, Snell, and Webb. His odds will likely shorten up even more after making minced meat of this punchless Tigers offense!

Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
This makes it three straight between the Reds and Dodgers that we’ll be invested in the game’s final outcome in some way, shape, or form. If we had it our way, the series will be tied at a game apiece after backing Bobby Miller in the opener and following it up with a position on Luke Weaver Saturday night. Which brings us to the series finale with Graham Ashcraft set to lock horns with what’s been a very ineffective Emmet Sheehan. The right-hander has brought the heat with his fastball velocity ranked No. 33 through six made starts, but his secondaries have all been putrid leading to a horrendous 23.5 percent called + swinging strike rate (No. 197) and 36.3 ground ball percentage (No. 161) per Pitcher List. Cincy has made a living destroying 4-seam fastballs with Matt McLain one of a handful of Reds’ bats that’ve clobbered the pitch per Baseball Savant. The visitors should hang a crooked number in this one! But will it be enough? Ashcraft is issuing a tick fewer than four walks per game, and the Dodgers are the last team you want to hand baserunners over to as potent Mookie Betts and co. have been versus RHP in averaging a league-best 6.0 runs per game. His ERA also swells to 8.71 in day games as opposed to 3.43 under the lights. I think this series is dominated by both offenses throughout and will bank on the sticks showing up for Sunday’s matinee as well.

Texas Rangers vs. San Diego Padres
The finale of this interleague set presents MLB bettors with a fabulous pitching matchup with the Rangers set to trot Nathan Eovaldi to the bump on extended rest to square off against the smoking white hot Blake Snell. Before having his last start skipped to give the veteran right-hander some much-needed rest, Eovaldi looked to be laboring in a big way. While his first start out of the All-Star break saw him toss six shutout innings at the Rays, Tampa Bay has been struggling of late yet he still only managed 2 K and issued a trio of free passes. His velocities were noticeably down across the board ultimately forcing the team to make the decision to skip him. With that, he’ll toe the Petco bump on 12-days rest looking to get the best of a San Diego offense that managed a grand total of 11 runs in a three-game series with the Pirates. Advantage Eovaldi! As dominant Snell has been recently to catapult himself back into the NL Cy Young discussion over at PointsBet (+400), the lefty is yet to see the seventh inning in any of his last eight starts. With that, we’ll attack this game from a first five perspective and look for the offenses to be held in check before the pens take over.
