September 5, 2023MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions-Wednesday, September 6
September 5, 2023We ended up cashing both MLB Same Game Parlay Picks over at BetRivers Sportsbook last Thursday to pad the bankroll for the third consecutive day. The card started out with a SGP cash on the Dodgers with Lance Lynn leading them to the commanding 9-3 win which exceeded their team total as well. If you thought that was impressive, the Red Sox 17-1 demolition of the Astros blew it out of the park with Rafael Devers and Co. sending J.P. France to the showers early as expected. The over position in the desert was cancelled after Merrill Kelly took the place of Brandon Pfaadt who was the main reason why I called for a high scorer. Let’s see if we can’t bang out some more same game parlay winners on Thursday’s abbreviated slate – SLAM YOUR MAN!!

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins
The Dodgers are yet to list their starter for this tilt with the Fish, but that won’t prevent me from staying away from them in this finale at LoanDepot. Reason being; Eury Perez embarrassed them back on August 19 when he tossed six shutout innings and only allowed two hits while racking up a season-high 10 strikeouts. And LA’s big boppers were all in the lineup with Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Max Muncy, and David Peralta all going down on strikes a combined seven times! Mookie Betts and Co. won’t allow for the same type of showing in the rematch with the lineup now having ample game film and the experience of stepping into the box against them at their disposal. On top of that, LA still went on to win that game 3-0 by storming back against the Marlins bullpen in the eighth inning. This will be a learning experience for the young right-hander who just showed he has issues with the same opponent after facing them a second time with Washington just getting to him for 3 HR and five hits through 4.2 innings a start removed from throwing six innings of one run ball at them.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves
It’s sad to say considering how dominant a pitcher he’s been over the course of his sterling career, but the end of the road has arrived for Adam Wainwright with the Cardinals simply just marching him out there knowing full well their playoff hopes were dashed months ago. Owner of a 3-10 record and bloated 8.10 ERA, the right-hander will be forced to set his sights on a Braves offense that ranks No. 1 across the board in batting average (.275), runs scored (5.8), home runs (259), and OPS (.844). Though highly unlikely LA catches up with them in the overall NL standings, it’s still too early for Ronald Acuna Jr. and his mates to take their collective foot off the gas pedal knowing full well the top seed in the NL playoffs is theirs to lose. Max Fried installed a gargantuan favorite keeps me off the side – even at alternative offerings – so we’ll target the team total and a Waino player prop instead in what I fully expect to be a one-sided blowout.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs
The opener of this extended four-game series that pits the Diamondbacks up against the Cubs could find a number of long balls reach the cheap seats provided the wind isn’t blowing in off the lake. This Slade Cecconi kid doesn’t have the stuff to be a starter at the MLB level right now. While his 1.5 BB/9 is decent, everything else isn’t highlighted by the 8.9 hits and 1.1 home runs allowed per nine. After surviving the month of August against the likes of the Giants, Padres, Rockies, Rangers, and Reds, the right-hander was just lit up by the Orioles for nine hits (1 HR) and 6 ER through 3.1 innings. While Chicago has undergone a power outage of late, he might be the elixir to get them back on track. I’m in disbelief over the job Javier Assad has done since taking over the No. 5 slot in the Cubs rotation. However, it’s only a matter of time until the negative regression monster rears its ugly head and the Snakes have been a potent lineup against RHP in averaging 4.8 runs per game (No. 11). Look for Corbin Carroll and Cody Bellinger to have monster nights – asking each to launch at least one into the cheap seats is worth a beer money investment!
