On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Chicago Bears of the NFC North will host the Carolina Panthers of the NFC South at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL. Kickoff time is 8:15 p.m. ET, with television coverage on AMAZON PRIME.
Last game, the Carolina Panthers lost 27-13 against the Indianapolis Colts as 1.5-point home dogs. The game went under the total of 45.5. Carolina has a record of 1-7 straight up, 1-6-1 against the spread, and 3-5 over/under the total. Carolina ranks 28th for total offense, 27th for passing, 24th for rushing and 27th for scoring. Defensively, they rank 8th overall, 4th against the pass, 28th against the rush, and 31st for points allowed. Also, Carolina ranks 15th for fewest turnovers lost and 31st for takeaways.
Kenny Moore II returned two interceptions for touchdowns as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Carolina Panthers 27-13. Moore’s TDs went for 49 and 66 yards — one in each half. Moore is the ninth player since 2000 with two interception returns for touchdowns in the same game.
Matt Gay kicked two field goals, and Gardner Minshew threw for 127 yards and a touchdown for the Colts, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Carolina coach Frank Reich was fired by the Colts one year ago.
Carolina quarterback Bryce Young’s three interceptions were costly. He also was sacked four times, negating a 24-of-39 effort for 173 yards and a touchdown. The Colts were credited with only 198 yards of total offense to 275 for the Panthers. Both teams had 17 first downs.
Last game, the Chicago Bears lost 24-17 against the New Orleans Saints as 10-point road dogs. The game went under the total of 42.5. Chicago has a record of 2-7 straight up, 3-5-1 against the spread, and 6-3 over/under the total. Chicago ranks 19th for total offense, 24th for passing, 4th for rushing and 19th for scoring. Defensively, they rank 19th overall, 28th against the pass, 4th against the rush, and 29th for points allowed. Also, Chicago ranks 32nd for fewest turnovers lost and 21st for takeaways.
Paulson Adebo had two interceptions and a fumble recovery, and the host New Orleans Saints defeated the Chicago Bears 24-17 on Sunday afternoon. Adebo’s takeaways led to 10 points for the Saints, who finished with five takeaways and no turnovers. That enabled them to hold off the Bears as Derek Carr passed for 211 yards and two touchdowns.
Rookie Tyson Bagent, making his third consecutive start in place of injured Justin Fields, passed for 220 yards and two touchdowns, but he threw three interceptions and lost a fumble.

In this situation, the Panthers are the best of two bad choices. Carolina will offer more value as the away team. And the inept offenses of both clubs should keep the game under the total.
