Saturday, December 16 NBA Parlay Picks
December 14, 2023Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay – Eagles at Seahawks
December 15, 2023It is a big schedule of college basketball on Saturday, December 16 with a number of Top 20 teams in action and a plethora of televised games. The action starts early and includes No. 2 Kansas visiting Indiana on CBS. It is a big day of NCAA basketball action on CBS, as the 3 pm Eastern game has Ohio State visiting UCLA and the 5:30 pm Eastern game has No. 9 North Carolina vs. No. 14 Kentucky in Atlanta. The best matchup of the day is one that very few people will be able to watch, as it is on NBC’s Peacock network. Not many people want to shell out money for a standalone sports network and Peacock has limited reach. It is too bad in this case, as it will be No. 1 Arizona at No. 3 Purdue on Peacock on Saturday. Let’s look at our Saturday college basketball parlay for Saturday, December 16.

College Basketball Parlay
Texas minus the points vs. LSU
Texas A&M plus the points at Houston
BYU minus the points vs. Georgia State
We’ll begin our Saturday college basketball parlay with one of the early games, as Texas plays LSU on ESPN 2. This game is at Houston but there is little doubt the Longhorns will have a big home court edge. Texas is 7-2 SU but just 2-7 ATS with four games going over the total and five going under. They are averaging 79 points per game and giving up just over 66 per contest. Max Adams leads the team in scoring at 17.6 points per game, while Tyrese Hunter is averaging 4.2 assists per game and Dillon Mitchell is pulling down 9.3 rebounds per contest.
LSU is 5-4 SU and 2-6 ATS with three games going over and five going under. The are averaging 72.9 points per game but giving up 69.3 points per game. Will Baker leads the team at 14.1 points per game, Trae Hannibal leads the team with a paltry 1.8 assists per game and Jalen Reed leads the team with 5.6 assists per contest.
Texas has all of the advantages in this one and I expect them to win and cover the spread on Saturday.
It is risking going against the Houston Cougars considering they are unbeaten and ranked No. 4 in the country. Their game against the Aggies on Saturday can be seen on ESPN 2. The Aggies are 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS with seven games going over the total and three going under. They are averaging 76.6 points per game and giving up 69 per contest. Wade Taylor IV is averaging 17.1 points and dishing out 4.9 assists per game, while Henry Coleman III is pulling down 8.8 rebounds per game.
Houston is 10-0 SU and 5-4-1 ATS with two games going over the total and eight going under. They are averaging 76.4 points per game and giving up just 49.7 per contest. Their defense has simply been suffocating, as they rank first in the nation in fewest points allowed. LJ Cryer leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game, Jamal Shead is averaging 6.2 assists per game, while J’Wan Roberts is pulling down 7.3 rebounds per game.
I’ll take the points and look for Texas A&M to keep this one relatively close.
The final game on the parlay has No. 18 BYU hosting Georgia State on the Big 12 Network. BYU has been rolling, as they are 8-1 SU and 8-1 ATS with two games going over the total and seven going under. They are averaging 89.3 points per game which ranks 8th in the country and they are giving up just 60.6 points per contest, also 8th-best in the country. Jaxson Robinson leads the team in scoring at 16.9 points per game, Spencer Johnson is averaging 4.6 assist per game, while Noah Waterman leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
Georgia State is 4-5 SU and 4-4-1 ATS with four games going over the total and five going under. They are averaging 76.9 points per game and giving up 74.4 points per contest. Lucas Taylor leads the team in scoring at 14.1 points per game, Dwon Odom is dishing out 4.4 assists per game, while Jay’Den Turner leads the team with 8.4 rebounds per contest.
Look for the Cougars to continue rolling along with a win and cover against Georgia State.
