January 30, 2024Sports Betting Bill Introduced in Hawaii
January 31, 2024Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are the top two betting choices to win this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It is one of the Signature Events on the PGA Tour Schedule, so that means a big prize purse and a loaded field. All of the Top 10 ranked players in the world, except for Jon Rahm, who is now with LIV, are in this week’s field. It was not a good week for the matchups last week, as I went 1-3 and also had a withdrawal, as Adrian Meronk signed with LIV. I’ll look to bounce back with a big week with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am matchup picks.

Defending Champion: Justin Rose
Tournament Notes: There is no cut this week, so all 80 players will play all four rounds. The amateurs will play just the first two rounds, so we won’t see them on the weekend. The weather is going to be part of the story this week, as rain is in the forecast and wind is going to be a major factor on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Pebble Beach is a much more difficult course when the wind blows, so Sunday could be interesting.

Golf Matchup Picks
Scottie Scheffler -125 vs. Rory McIlroy
I am a big Rory McIlroy fan, but I don’t know that Pebble Beach is a course that really suits his game. Rory is a great driver and his distance really doesn’t help him at Pebble. Scheffler is ranked No. 1 in the world and his so-called putting weakness doesn’t stand out so much on the small greens at Pebble. I’ll take Scheffler in this matchup.
Sam Burns -115 vs. Cameron Young
Burns is capable of contending no matter where he plays, while Young could really struggle this week. Young has not played that well recently and his problems are in his short game. He is not likely to get those troubles worked out on a course that demands a great short game. I’ll take Burns in this matchup.
J.T. Poston -125 vs. Beau Hossler
Poston has eight top 11 finishes in his last 12 starts. He also plays well in bad weather and we could see a lot of bad weather this week. I know Hossler has played well of late, but I don’t think he has the temperament to do well in bad weather. I’ll take Poston in this matchup.
Max Homa -115 vs. Collin Morikawa
Homa loves to play in California and at Pebble Beach he has three top 14 finishes in his last three appearances. He comes in playing well with nine straight top 15 finishes. Morikawa oftentimes gets more headlines, but Homa is simply the better player.
Sungjae Im -137 vs. Byeon Hun An
Im missed the cut at Torrey Pines, but I expect a bounce back this week. He plays well in windy conditions and his short game is among the best in the world. I think he will have a good week and I’ll take him in this matchup against An.
