February 29, 2024Micro Betting Growth Continues
March 1, 2024The NBA betting week closes on Sunday, March 3 with an eight-game slate that includes four nationally televised games. The NBA best Boston Celtics host Golden State in a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals that the Cs dropped in six games. While Boston has been the best team since the start of the season the Warriors are perhaps the hottest team currently winning 10 of 12 games since early February while going 10-2 against the NBA betting line. The Dubs also covered the NBA point spread in an OT win over Boston earlier this season. The game will air on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET from TD Garden on ABC following the matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks.
There are several other interesting matchups on the docket to build a NBA parlay at Caesars sportsbook, one being the Western Conference showdown between the LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves. Following a torrid two-month stretch that saw them climb to the top of the standings, the Clips have cooled off. A loss to the Lakers on Wednesday was their second straight and fifth in eight games. They also had a hard time getting the money in those games going just 1-7 as a NBA pick against the spread. The night concludes with another Western Conference tilt between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns. OKC is the second-most profitable team in the NBA covering the NBA line in 63.8 percent of their games

It’s always a good idea to ride the hot teams when betting the NBA. The only issue is that we never know when that heater is coming to an end. We don’t see teams with more than 80 percent of their games for an entire season so we knew the Clippers would slow down. I backed them last week and it cost me as they were the only team that wasn’t a winning NBA pick on my three-team parlay. I came close with both Phoenix and OKC covering, but we need them all to win in order to cash the winning ticket on a NBA parlay. So, we’ll try it again as the final full month of the NBA season gets started.
The Warriors are the hot team now riding the play of youngsters Jonathan Kuminga and Brandon Podziemski. Stephen Curry is still a sharpshooter and Klay Thompson has excelled in his role as a bench player, and the Dubs started their four-game road trip with double-digit wins over Washington and New York. They’ve won 12 of their last 15 over the last month with all 12 victories beating the NBA point spread. Boston has just 12 losses with one of those to the Warriors, 132-126, in mid-December when Curry went for 33 points. The Dubs have Boston’s number and backing the visitors is a solid NBA bet.
The most profitable team in the NBA is the Orlando Magic, who improved to 39-21 against the NBA point spread covering the 6.5-point line in a 115-107 win over Utah on Wednesday. Since late January they are 11-4 as a NBA betting pick and they’ve been decent on the court as well winning 11 games. They host Detroit on Sunday with a few days of rest and they are 3-0 against the Pistons this season. They won the initial meeting in Orlando, 123-91, and have covered the NBA betting line in two of those wins. Why not make it a third.
Minnesota has been at or near the top of the West standings all season and they aren’t going anywhere. They climbed back into first with Tuesday’s win over Memphis, their third straight and seventh in the last eight games. And they’ve owned the Clippers this season with two victories, including a 21-point thrashing in LA just a few weeks ago. LA has struggled against the better teams in the West and just lost two in a row for the first time since before Christmas. Minnesota’s strong defense has effectively shut down LA’s scorers and with Paul George questionable the Wolves look like a NBA best pick.
