April 19, 2024MLB Same Game Parlay Picks, Odds & Predictions – Wednesday, April 24
April 22, 2024All 30 teams will hit the diamond on Tuesday night giving us baseball bettors ample opportunities to cash in on the MLB odds over at Caesars Sportsbook. While there are a number of juicy spots on the card, I’ve whittled it down to three games that I will be targeting in hopes of adding to the bottom line. May the baseball gods smile upon us and allow us to remain in the black with these leg recommendations to utilize in same game parlays – SLAM YOUR MAN!!
Bet Major League Baseball at Caesars Sportsbook
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Cincinnati Reds
The Phillies have gotten out to a solid start to their 2024 campaign. They’ll invade the ‘Natti Monday night winners of six straight after busting out the brooms upon the wretched Rockies and White Sox last week. The opposition will get just a wee bit tougher for this series however with the Reds answering their ugly sweep at the hands of the Mariners in Seattle with a sweep of their own against the Angels over the weekend. On paper, Christopher Sanchez looks tremendous with the lefty the owner of a 2.53 ERA and 25:8 K/BB ratio and tossing quality starts in each of his last two turns.
However, they came against the weak hitting Pirates and aforementioned Rockies. Cincinnati’s sticks have been more potent against righties (5.7 RPG) than lefties (5.1 RPG), but Sanchez is walking 3.4 batters per nine and the Reds already saw his stuff once this season. The home team will counter with steady left-hander Andrew Abbott who enters his fifth outing also having produced to straight quality starts. His stuff doesn’t flash, but he gets the job done. I expect him to be in position to log a third straight start of quality, and for the Reds better bullpen to lock this one down.

Detroit Tigers vs. Tampa Bay Rays
Kenta Maeda is no longer an arm baseball bettors can rely upon to rack up strikeouts and go deep into games. Through four starts, the Japanese import has allowed 10.7 hits per nine innings and only registered 12 K through 17.2 total innings of work. His splitter and sliders just aren’t getting the job done anymore which has seen his sub 90s fastball get peppered like it was a batting practice offering. Above all else, he’s serving up a career-worst 3.6 walks per nine and owns a horrific 1.71 K/BB rate.
On the flipside, Ryan Pepiot continues to turn heads having thrown quality starts in two of his last three showings all the while racking up a 24:4 K/BB ratio. Per Pitcher List, his 17.5% swinging strike percentage ranks 6th overall, while his 31.8% called strikes + whiffs ranks 31st. Detroit ranks 24th in K rate (24.9%) and we’ve already rode the high side of Pep’s K prop twice to date and cashed tickets each time. I see no reason why the third time can’t be the charm!

New York Mets vs. San Francisco Giants
The Mets dastard start to the season is nothing but a distant memory now that Carlos Mendoza’s troops have cashed against the MLB betting odds eight of the last 10 times and enter this series by the bay coming off taking two of three from the odds-on favorite to cash in on the World Series futures odds at Caesars. Hopefully the turnaround finds Logan Webb laying a reduced price at home where the right-hander has been nothing short of money in the bank having already gone 1-0 and pitched to a 1.29 ERA and 0.929 WHIP in a pair of starts against the Padres and D’backs. He allowed 94 hits and only 28 ER with a 100:15 K/BB ratio at home a season ago through 16 starts!
While Luis Severino looks to have gotten his groove back throwing for the Metropolitans and hooked us up against Pittsburgh last time out, he’s issuing nearly 4.0 walks per nine innings and the Giants bats have been more potent against RHP (4.4 RPG). Until Webb shows he’s not to be auto-supported on his home bump, I have no choice but to jump on the righty’s bandwagon and expect the home dominance to continue; regardless of the opponent.
