TGL presented by SoFi is an innovative golf league in partnership with the PGA TOUR fusing advanced tech and live action in prime time. The season includes a total of 24 players with four players assigned to each of the six teams. Each TGL match features three players competing on each team in a two-hour team golf competition, offering a fresh approach to the sport with a focus on technology, innovation, and fan engagement.

A purpose-built venue called SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, combines a data-rich virtual course with a first-of-its-kind short game complex creating a unique experience for the fans in the stands and watching around the world. TGL combines advanced technology with live action, featuring top PGA Tour players competing in two-hour, prime-time matches. The inaugural season began on January 7, 2025.

Each of the six teams represents a different city and comprises four players, with three participating in each match. Matches consist of 15 holes divided into two segments: Triples (First 9 Holes): A 3-on-3 alternate-shot format where players rotate teeing off and taking subsequent shots. Singles (Final 6 Holes): Head-to-head competition with players rotating through individual matchups. The players hit shots off real grass, rough, or sand into a simulator screen. The shorter shots of under 50 yards and the putts take place inside the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, on a real green that can be adjusted for each hole.

The matches last about two hours and take place in primetime on Monday or Tuesday nights from January through March. The schedule has 15 regular-season matches followed by a four-team playoff, and a best-of-three final.
